Looks good, Iphone is looking like the platform to have if you like RPGs. Looks a bit like the gothic series.
To sharpen that point, both this game and Aralon should establish a niche for the iOS in the portable gaming field. Obviously, the iPhone will never catch up with the PSP and DS when it comes to JRPGs (or even Diablo-style dungeon crawlers). Nevertheless, even two quality, successful WRPGs would make fans take notice, since they are a rarity in the established portable platforms (can't even think of one, actually). In any event, the game looks great.
If the title is as ambitious as the PR indicates, and if they are indeed on track for a late 2010 release then the game (not just the engine but the entire game) must be pretty well complete, and undergoing the final 8+ weeks of bug fixing, asset finalization, and tuning. I'm excited for Ossian. Their description and screens are very compelling, and it really seems like there is an apatite for a compelling, large-scale RPG campaign that is build for the handheld market from the start. That said, a little voice in my head is asking questions like "why haven't we seen more earlier?"; "Are they really that good at keeping literally everything under wraps?"; and "Doesn't this PR smell like a relatively early-cycle announcement?". I'm telling that voice to shush it!
Pocket Legends was under wraps until a few weeks before it released, even with a 6 month long beta testing process that included a few TA members. I see no reason why Ossian couldn't do the same.
This does look pretty amazing. I prefer more hybrid/turn-based RPGs than real-time, and I'm leary of 3D games on the iPhone (only played a few so far that were done really well, like NOVA), but given their background in game dev, the game description, and the screenshots, I'm still very excited about this. Looking forward to hearing/seeing more, especially video.
This does look pretty awesome, and the feature list is great! But, the graphics need anti-aliasing massively, even if it's only 4xMSAA or something. The jaggies hurt! :3

Well, that's that. After I buy Cut The Rope and Black Pegasus, I'm probably not going to buy another game until this comes out.
I hope not. We need more games that fully utilize the newer hardware. Time to leave 1st and 2nd gen behind. Having said that, this game looks very good, and I'm interested. Especially since it's inspired by the work of Lovecraft, one of my favorite horror/fantasy authors.
Has there been anyway to find any new rumblings on this game, from Ossian? It sounds and looks fantastic.
I don't think so. It's nice to hear that they're still making progress with this game. Of all the games coming out this year, The Shadow Sun is probably the one I'm looking forward to the most. Although the graphics are a big dialed down, the story sounds REALLY interesting.
