It's been one year now since Blood Roofs came out, and finally my new game is very close to finished:

Shadow Vamp will feature a unique kind of gameplay, based on amazing 3D realtime shadows powered by the Unity engine.
Get ready for a major sunburn! :)

From the maker of Blood Roofs... I cant say no to this! :)

And right now, i can say that THIS IS A BRILLIANT CONCEPT!

Basically you can control where the sun casts the shadow, and you have to move your character only through the shadows. That's the basic gist of the game right? And there are stuff like sunscreen to help out get from point A to B.

From the looks of it, this is another instabuy!

    Thank you!
I wanted to create something different this time. And though it was much more work creating the levels this time, I still had a lot of fun making this game.

Yes, that's the concept. Actually, you rotate the entire playing field (that's why you can see the far backgrounds moving) to get the shadows in the right place.
I found it really amazing what kind of tricky combinations you can do with this!

Thanks for the great feedback! :)

    Playing iOS games, duh.

Wow, I instantly fell in love with this concept the second I saw a frantic vampire darting around the shadows, LOL. So, what is the bigger picture here? You dodge shadows, but what is the endgame? Where are you supposed to lead the vampires to?

This looks amazing. Proof that there is still originality left on the App Store. If it runs iPhone 4, instabuy for me!

Are you able to say the price, download size, and number of levels yet?

    Thank you! :)

    iPhone 4 is fine.
It even runs on iPod touch 4G, iPhone 3GS and on iPad1 - I only had to reduce the shadow resolution a little bit on the older hardware.

It has 48 levels (4 worlds with 12 islands each), I'm planning to release it for $0.99 - and I'm afraid the download size will be around 300 MB. I just couldn't manage to make it any smaller...

    A little ways over there
    Neat.

Totally reminds me of the Nike commercial called Shade Running from a few years back. Same idea only less vampires.

    Control Scheme

Guys, I really love the concept of the game. Idea is excellent. My only concern is controls scheme. I don't like these two wheels system.

Could you be so kind to try and make an alternative scheme:

    - Tap where you want to go.
    - Rotate the world with two fingers (as regular mobile maps do it)

    Thanks!

Great to hear it will run on ipod 4G and that it will be .99 at release
However, hearing it will be a huge 300mb is kinda off putting..space on my ipod is at a premium and i thought a puzzle game like this would be smaller in size..:(
Oh well i may try it out at least if i can make some room
any news on release date? maybe a release month?

Or how about keep the left stick for movement and have rotate left/rotate right buttons on the right side of screen? The control scheme in the trailer might be kind of cramped on an iPhone

Is it 300MB installed? I'm guessing those real time shadows are very performance heavy
