** Special launch price during the first month after release 4.99 USD **

    Hello dear toucharcade users

After Arcana Agency, Fabled Lands I and Fabled Lands II, Megara Entertainment has submitted yesterday to Apple its new game, "The Keep of the Lich-Lord HD"

    Press release :
"Fabled Lands LLP are pleased to announce that Megara Entertainment is done developing The Keep of the Lich-Lord for iOS (the game is currently in review stage at Apple and the HD version should be released next week, with an iPhone version shortly after), based on a Fighting Fantasy gamebook written in the 1990s by Jamie Thomson and Dave Morris. Fabled Lands LLP are keen to see whether a 100% complete, standalone, plot-driven gamebook story, with a well-known title, written by highly acclaimed authors, can thrive in the iOS gamebook app market."

This is a conversion of the original gamebook which took 7 months of work using a variant of our Fabled Lands engine ; we also made 100 new 2D artworks, dozens of sound effects and (that's new to our engine), some animations.

    THE KEEP OF THE LICH-LORD

Vognar Keep has fallen to a deadly foe. The safety of the northern continent of the Fabled Lands is threatened once more by the forces of Evil! After two centuries of peace the dark necromancer, Lord Nydaedus of Hagor, has returned from the grave to rekindle the flames of war in league with the Reavers, pirates of the Unnumbered Isles, and with his own legions of foul undead warriors.
YOU are a mercenary, battle hardened and cunning. You will need all your skills if you are to penetrate Vognar Keep and destroy the threat to the land.
Many dangers lie ahead and your success is by no means certain. Powerful adversaries are ranged against you, and it's up to YOU to decide which route to follow, which dangers to risk and which foes to fight!

    Great series of gamebooks.

Can you travel between books in standalone apps? If not, is there any expected timeline for this to appear as IAP in the others?

Sorry to ask so many questions, but I've got one more - did you guys tone down the chances of being dumped on Sorcerer's Isle, which is a really harsh start unless you've got a good SCOUTING score...

wow, that's good news! Have you a specific contract with Fighting Fantasy for future development, or is this a one-shot?

If I may ask, did you use the original artwork as well? Have you tried to match it with the new pictures?

This isn't Fighting Fantasy, this is the third Fabled Lands book.

Hi Drelbs, it's a standalone FL adventure based on a Fighting Fantasy title, relocated in the Fabled Lands! It's not Fabled Lands III.

Hi Thevragrant, in fact the original authors for this FF book were Dave Morris and Jamie Thomson (who are my friends as you can guess), and they owned the rights for this Fighting Fantasy title. No other Fighting Fantasy title is in the pipeline, since for our next game after Keep, we plan to either develop Fabled Lands III or/and Arcana Agency (the sequel to our first game Arcana Agency : Prologue)
For the Keep app, all the art is new (and in colour), and some art has been *inspired* by the original FF gamebook art indeed.
