there really is no best way, except appventcalendar and stuff. that passes on real fast as people love free! otherwise, there is no best way...
A lot of websites pick it up automatically and post about it, the best you can do really is just to mention it in these forums and any other forums, your website, twitter, facebook etc. Thats what i've found anyway.
