Maybe it's like the opposite of those flashlight apps. So it just forces your ipod to have a black screen.
''The Siege of the Necromancer is the first in a new series of adventure books from Tin Man Games for the iPhone / iPod Touch. Set in the magical land of Orlandes, these books embody the spirit of popular fantasy adventure gamebooks of the eighties and nineties. The aim is to mix the experience of reading a real book and shaking real dice (yes youll have to shake your phone) with the ease of use and convenience of your iDevice'' From there site
Hi guys, thanks for the interest! Sorry I was initially so vague - wanted some mystery! As THE STUD posted from our site, essentially we are bringing back the adventure gamebook to a modern format. We have called our new series the Guild of Gamebooks (or GOG for short). We have six new writers, and a number of illustrators currently producing six NEW fantasy adventure gamebooks set within the land of Orlandes. These have never before been published in print and will be unique to the iPhone and iPod Touch. Yes Chronical, they are reading apps, but believe me we are putting a lot of care and attention into crafting some exciting stories, where you dictate what happens next in the adventure. We have devised a battle and fitness system so when encountering obstacles or monsters you can make dice rolls by shaking 3D dice, and decisions you make will directly influence the story. Trust me these will NOT be your average e-book. Thanks for your support there CaseyLay and to everyone else who commented on the promos! We believe there is a lot of people who remember similar gamebook series from the 80s (a time before high powered computers and consoles!) and we hope we will again be able to offer an updated and exciting experience, albeit in a new digital form. Thanks! The Tin Man
