MFI Controller support in iOS 7 was first announced 4 months ago. iOS 7 has been available for 2 1/2 weeks. Why have we only seen leaks and teases for controllers? Anyone have any ideas why we aren't seeing controllers hit the shelves? I would have guessed someone would have a controller for sale by now, or a preorder, or even several official announcements. With Apple approving apps, it just seems odd to me. Curious what you guys think?
I think you hit it on the head. After the next event I think we will have more controllers out then we know what to do with.
Wouldn't iPad v make more sense? It's the 5th iPad, not the 10th. But I think they'll stick with iPad 5.
So, is apple controlling the announcements and release date of 3rd party MFI controllers? I know Apple has to approve the devices, but why wait for the iPad announcement? They already announced the capability.
iPad event came and left. Sure it gave us 2 capable gaming systems. No controllers yet? Now I'm just baffled.
Maybe Apple are making their own controller and want it to be first but it wasn't ready for the announcement ?
I'm looking forward to pad play, and I love touch controls! I just want an option to use them with HDMI out or for games which feel better with physical buttons like FPS games, My wallet waits.
Thank you. I thought it was some kind of acronym for a connection type or something technical like that.
At this point, I think a controller will hit the market with out a splash made by Apple. Others will follow suit. Hopefully it is soon. I am over getting excited about teasers for these things.
They're here. I want a standalone controller to use for my iPad. Wouldn't that be easier to make? The wait continues.
