Yeah, nice. Except I don't have an iPad and don't plan to get one. (Well, maybe when the next gen comes out and it's greatly improved, and it can actually do everything my Touch 4 can do.). So how about a version for 4th gen iPhone and Touch? And maybe 3rd gens too. It's very common now for new games to only work well on newer gen hardware. Please do it.
It's not about the hardware, more like the small screen will frustrate players, especially those with large fingers.
That's not why they stopped the iphone version - according to the front page article, it was because of lack of processing power, presumably in older devices. Finger size is relative, and the game could work well on the small screen if done right.
Awesome, played the heck out of this on mac and wii, I *really* hope there's some new content in this port. Also hoping for game center. Long live the GooPad.
I think that by 'we don’t want to release something if it doesn’t run absolutely buttery smooth', That they are not referring only to the framerate, but to the smoothness of the gameplay. If 2D Boy get World of Goo running on an iPhone with an experience that they are happy to release, they will. That is just more or less quite unlikely owing to the iPhone's smaller screen size.
Source? note that 2D Boy blog actually reads: "We’re just about finished, and hope to release the game in the App Store as soon as we get approved" As in not quite finished yet. Destuctoid and theappera etc. seem to have rushed their articles. Unless they have information that i don't know about. EDIT: Nevermind, I just saw their update
Any news on special features This is a great game. Do anyone have news on whether they are planning to take advantage of the Ipad with new features compared to the 'classic'? There should be some potential.
Can't say it much better than that ^ I actually never played the game but a friend of mine did and he told me its worth the reaction it got above
