Yes, please!” - 148Apps.com “I’ve never played a game like this before with teleportation—and I love it! The controls are extremely easy to use, yet the game is still very challenging. This game is worth the .99” – AppAdvice.com “…if you’re looking for an action packed, futuristic, battle style game, Absolute Instant is a great pick!!” – AppDictions.com “Designed specifically for iOS and with touchscreen controls in mind…Fans of arcade-style shooters will want to give this a shot…” - Appolicious.com “Fans of bright explosions and shiny ships will love this one, and the teleportation brings a little something new to the genre.” – 148Apps.com "…Absolute Instant by Mobili Studio goes one step further - now you can teleport." - AppSpy.com "Absolute Instant is a great example of designing from the ground-up for an iPhone. By integrating the touch screen for teleportation and using the shake feature to drop a bomb, the developers have managed to completely remove control interface elements from the game. This allows them to use the full screen to show off the stunning visuals." - FreshApps.com "If you tap anywhere on the screen, your fighter will teleport there...This dynamic definitely makes this game stand out from its brothers and sisters, and it’s a lot of fun." - Appolicious.com "Absolute Instant is an epic shooter that combines flying jets and apocalyptic creatures with a twist of teleporting yourself out of danger. Yes, teleporting. Reviews on the App Store are kinda mixed. Oh, and it hasn't dropped yet. It's decent, but pretty typical for iOS shmups. Static backgrounds, boring enemies, lame weapons. The teleporting thing is kinda novel, but I wouldn't clear out the space unless you're desperate for a new shmup. medianotzu Well-Known Member Nov 21, 2009 3,803 9 36 #5 medianotzu, Nov 27, 2011 This game never really clicked for me, not sure why. That said, if you appreciate the genre I don't know why you wouldn't go ahead and download it onto your computer while it's free. You can always just delete it if you need the space and come back to download it again later. gunxsword Well-Known Member Dec 24, 2010 2,556 0 0 Sydney #6 gunxsword, Nov 27, 2011 Hey! Don't just call this game 'boring' because the instant jump mechanic is pretty interesting and practical! I thought the gameplay was pretty neat and fun. BTW here's the Appspy video review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjEU7i_fviI caanerud Well-Known Member Mar 28, 2011 998 0 0 #7 caanerud, Nov 27, 2011 Pretty boring to me. Appspy doesn't make your opinion correct. Had some nice minutes with Absolute Instant and will pick it up again for sure. Thx for the freebie! Teleport is cool! Three stars, slightly above the average. No ads, no IAPs. Rare these days. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #9 awp69, Nov 27, 2011 Decided to clear some space and give this a shot. I like it! Fairly challenging and like the warp idea. There's very few good shmups that work on a 2G but this will be added to my list of decent ones. DarrylLP Member Nov 24, 2011 5 0 0 Kent, UK #10 DarrylLP, Nov 27, 2011 Just played this for a half hour, I think it's great. Like awp69 said, there's very few good shmups that work on 2nd gen devices, most of the ones that do all play very similarly. This one plays and handles a lot like all the others, but it looks brilliant and the teleport mechanic is really well integrated, rather than an intrusive gimmick. You can't tell by the screens, but the bosses look absolutely fantastic. The 2D sprites are really well drawn and have a lot of character. Everything is really crisp and clear and never confusing. One of the things I dislike about a lot of shooters on the appstore is that in an effort to make everything really visible and easy to see, developers seem to insist on making every enemy shot, every power-up, everything on the HUD, every single point of interest on the screen into these really bright primary coloured objects that whizz around/towards you. It's just distracting. And there's none of that here. It's sort of nice, understated, and the only brightly coloured objects are the ones you have to avoid. Only complaint I have so far is that the enemy wave/fire patterns get a bit predictable after a few bosses, even though the teleport mechanic allows for more variation there than the average shooter. It's free for now, don't miss out. I'm glad you brought it up. The teleportation thing is a nice distinctive play device that takes advantage of the touch screen. It feels real good to use in this way. I wouldn't have given this game a fair chance if it wasn't for this promotion. It has its quirks (from my experience in the first level, enemies all look too similar and the boss looks too static from a lack of animation frames, though what's there is real pretty) but it holds up decently. And look: retina resolution! What a revolutionary idea for a shooter . (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
