I've been waiting for this game to go down to a dollar ever since I saw it. It's pretty much the one game in the past half year that I was interested in but never felt like pulling the trigger for. Bought and already synced. Thanks for the sale. Sin City Well-Known Member Sep 5, 2011 112 0 0 #3 Sin City, Oct 27, 2011 +1 to this, I feel the same, only the price here (California) says $2.99... UmbraVir Well-Known Member Sep 4, 2011 491 0 0 Student CT #5 UmbraVir, Oct 27, 2011 I want to ask the same thing. Anyone have impressions?(just bought Bike Baron ._.) DelBoy2181 Well-Known Member Mar 14, 2011 857 0 0 London, England #6 DelBoy2181, Oct 27, 2011 The graphics look really good but it's currently got very poor reviews/ratings on the UK App Store. I'm in two minds at the moment unless someone can tell me why it's worth getting. UmbraVir Well-Known Member Sep 4, 2011 491 0 0 Student CT #7 UmbraVir, Oct 27, 2011 Yeah... Graphics isn't going to do anything with poor game quality. I'll hold out on this one. backtothis im in ur base killin ur d00dz Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Jul 13, 2009 13,250 1 0 college student (junior) Houston/Austin, TX https://twitter.com/back2this #8 backtothis, Oct 27, 2011 Really? In the US, 52 of the 59 ratings for the current version are 5-stars. The game suffered quite a few launch bugs, but it looks like they've been fixed since then. If you're a Trials fan, this is a great game. It takes a lot of skill though and is unforgiving in comparison to BB. And yeah, the visuals are terrific. For $0.99, it's a solid purchase if you're a fan the type of game. UmbraVir Well-Known Member Sep 4, 2011 491 0 0 Student CT #9 UmbraVir, Oct 27, 2011 I didn't bother checking out the US reviews. I thought they would be somewhat the same as (I don't think) the versions should be different in different regions. Hell, if the US reviews are find and not wrought with bad reviews saying how bad the game is, I'll give it a go.(It is only a dollar after all) gwet17 Well-Known Member Jan 11, 2011 1,636 0 0 #10 gwet17, Oct 27, 2011 More unforgiving than Bike Baron? No thank you. Pre-selected controls are okay for me. The game is translated into German. (Tested on iPad 2.) There is a Lite-Version as well. DelBoy2181 Well-Known Member Mar 14, 2011 857 0 0 London, England #12 DelBoy2181, Oct 28, 2011 I can confirm that there is a headless rider bug. VoodooVyper Well-Known Member Jan 25, 2009 2,244 15 36 #13 VoodooVyper, Oct 28, 2011 I downloaded the lite version for the iPhone 4 and the low fps makes the game unplayable. Anybody else with the same model with similar problems? Did the full version perform any better? UmbraVir Well-Known Member Sep 4, 2011 491 0 0 Student CT #14 UmbraVir, Oct 28, 2011 Yes, I can confirm that it slightly lags on my iPhone 4. I'm actually downloading something right now(Dark Meadow, MC3, and Zombieville 2- big purchases recently) so that might be what's slowing it down. I've closed all background apps, but I'll post impressions again tomorrow when nothing is downloading and I've restarted my phone. but I wouldn't say it's bad enough to reduce my enjoyment. I've just ran it to check out some suspicions, but it doesn't seem too bad. I would get it now and hope the developers put some optimization in even though I would argue that it's playable as it is. Danielthe1st Member Sep 16, 2011 8 0 0 #15 Danielthe1st, Oct 28, 2011 Got it when it was 2 $ some time ago. I wa excited abiut the graphics and such. But the gameplay isn't so good, unfortunately. One review i read said that you crash your way through the course due to the checkpoints every two meters, that's exactly how it feels. Not so fun game imho. It looks spectacular and is fun to play. Some sections are tough, but fun to play. It's not that challenging that you'll be obsessed to get gold stars. It's more about enjoying tracks for me. Controls are good, but as responsive as bike baron. All the above while playing on an iPad 2 prior to headless update. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
