I really loved Pocket RPG back in the day. Any games similar to that that you know off?

    Heroes of Loot
    Mage Guantlet
Orc Guardian (I think that's the name)
    Monster Adventures

And that's all I can think of at the moment, kinda drawing a blank. I loved Pocket RPG back in the day too

These are all games I find that fall somewhat into the pool of game type you are looking for:

    League of Heroes
    Mage Gauntlet
    Heroes of Loot
    Mighty Wardens
    Heroes Call
    Orc
    Iesabel
    Isles of Bxnes
    Wild Blood
    Master of Dungeon
    Stone of Life
    Dungeon Hunter 1,2, (loosely) 3 & 4
    Bastion
    Echo Prime
    Dungeon Defenders
    Fangz
    Zombieville
    Eternity Warriors 1, 2 & 3

  4. Trouserheart isnt hwre yet

    Dh4 is probably my favorite.

Nothing quite as close... Come to think of it, pocket RPG isn't even an RPG....

EDIT: Thinking hard on it,Pocket RPG is more dual stick shooter than RPG... Makes me wish Battleheart Legacy will come out sooner.

Iesabel is good. There's no IAP and it's pretty solid since they worked out the bugs.

    Across Age 2
    Wraithborne
    Iesabel
    Solomon's Keep

Arena-based but same gameplay core mechanics:
    Solomon's Boneyard
    Hero Siege
    Quadropus Rampage

Yeah it's pretty good, but not worth $5. I would only get it for 99c or free. It's fun though, but not sure it would be a good alternative for Pocket RPG

Fun but westerners find it grindy. If you've played k/j/cRPGs before, you'll find it fairly forgiving. I personally got it at full price and enjoy the action more than Archangel's clumsy control scheme. I see only one bothersome fault in the design but refer to the main thread for the game to find out more.

I thought it was awesome and felt it was well worth the money. Dynamic and engaging gameplay, tons of skills and loot to upgrade, plenty of content.. Different strokes I guess. :)

Thanks for the heads up. I've been dying to try it for a while now but I had my doubts. I'll probably wait for a sale on this one.

I've played most of what you've mentioned but none have that arcadey RPG lite vibe of Pocket RPG. Maybe I'll just fire up the bigger again just to see if it performs better on my retina mini LOL.

I think Battleheart Legacy will suit you when it comes out.

At the moment hero Siege it's rather fun, and you could check out Meltdown (although it is sci fi, it's a great mini RPG thing)

No one likes 9th Dawn anymore? Alien Shooter: The Beginning is another surprisingly satisfying dial stick ahooter with RPG elements. Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. Never underestimate Meow Meow Happy Fight.

...Hero Siege was (maybe is) recently free; not top tier but fun.

It is really, really sad how lacking the dungeon arcade genre is for iOS, none of the games listed are really anything like Pocket RPG. It is baffling that they haven't tried to port Torchlight or any of a number of great PC games that could translate nicely.

Dungeon Hunter 2 is the last game in that series worth playing. Freemium Cancer spread all too easily to dungeon/loot I guess.

I know right? I mean platform is perfect for thee types of games... Portable, perpetually connected if you buy the right device... It would have been Dungeon Crawler nirvana.
