Update: The game will be released on Thursday March 22nd! Hey everyone, It’s been quite a while since we released our first game, Soosiz, and the iPad version, Soosiz HD. Since then we have been developing our next game, Swordigo, which we are happy to present to you now. When Soosiz was just released, someone made a comment on our Facebook page that was something like “What would happen if the makers of Soosiz would create an RPG?”... Well this is what would happen. Rather than making a full-fledged RPG, we’ve given more emphasis on the fun gameplay and to make the game a great platformer. But you still get to level up your character, find more powerful items and to explore the world instead of just playing through individual levels. Please watch the trailer below and feel free to ask any questions you might have. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel The music in the trailer is a shortened version of actual in-game music and all of the other music pieces in the game are original as well.
loved soosiz and this looks fun. day 1. when you say "explore the world", does it mean the game is not linear?
Straight up DOPE. This looks stellar. Anybody else thinking Mario and Zelda had an affair and created this beauty?
Started kind of slow, but as the video went on I felt like my excitement had not limits! You guys really know how to make a platformer!
True! I guess it's really those turtle shell like enemies and piranha plants that bring on the Mario.
Definitely didn't see this one coming, but I'm dying to play this already.. cannot get my hands on this fast enough! Wow!
Thank you all for the great comments! Probably very soon after it has been approved but I don't know for sure yet. What we mean by exploration is that there is no "level selection screen," but instead you have to find your way through the world to advance. The world is not completely linear, but many parts of the game have some linearity as we felt that it would be too complex to navigate otherwise. In addition there is a map that helps you keep track of where you are.
Looking good! Though, from what I saw in the video, I actually like all the character models except the main character.
