Hi there Are there any Japanese developers on here? Where are you based? What are you working on now? What is your experience developing and submitting apps? What are your feelings on the difference between east and west with regard to games and development? And if you're in Kansai region, let's get a beer and talk tech
I am not Japanese, but I am based in Tokyo. I work at Tonchidot, the makers of Sekai Camera. As for the other questions, I don't really experience any difference developing or submitting apps than in other countries, I think. I suppose that I notice some differences in game design between East and West. I might say something like Japanese games tend to have more of a set path and Western games tend to favor free-exploration. But that is kind of a stereotype of which there are many exceptions. In all honesty, I don't really buy many of the supposed differences between "East" and "West," I guess. I am not in Kansai, but maybe I can look you up when I head down there. I love Kyoto.
