    Hello guys,

We are Monkey Potion studio. This is our second game project, a fantasy-themed turn-based RPG. It's still in the very early stage of development. We're experimenting with various art styles to see what is the best fit for this game.

Please tell us which art style you'd like to see and play in a turn-based RPG!

    Style 1

Which art style would you like to see and play in a turn-based mobile RPG? Please cast your vote.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! :)

Personally, style one. Even though it looks a little more..."chibi?" It helps tell the player who the leader is and who the "minion" type characters seem to be. For me, it also helps give the scene a sense of depth. Style two makes the characters seem right on top of each other. Hope this helps and Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you too!

I prefer style 2. While the first is more stylized, I like the more "gritty" vibe of the second

Love style 1 too much. Style 1 makes me think more about the chibi style on facebook.

    Thanks guys!

    @Rejera
We knew that the picture of Style 2 is a bit confusing. Is this better?

Also here's the concept of character design for barbarian hero:

    What do you think?

Style 2 looks absolutely amazing. Full body captures the look of each character, making them pop out more than style 1 in my opinion.

Greetings! I made am account just to post my preference(SERIOUSLY). I love turn based games and would enjoy your game either way but I vastly prefer Style 2. There's too many games with a similar art style as the first one but the second one definitely stands out(and i love playing as a barbarian! paladins are way overrated anyway). Style 2 for me :)

Also, I agree with comicx you guys should totally make a full body sprite over the chibi sprite.

P.S. when the game does come out will there be character customization options? I would love to create a character with more facial hair and shorter hair.

Style 1 for me style 2 would completely put me off even if it were a good game.

Style 1 because although style 2 looks great it just kinda sets me off

Edit: I downloaded Jade Ninja which is fun, and has a great art style. Definitely stay with style 1

Hey, thank you for liking Jade Ninja. We're really appreciated!

Thanks for comments and feedback from all of you. Apparently the Style 1 has more votes now which is a bit unexpected to us. We will do a few mockups for both styles to give you a better image of the game.

    Happy holidays! :)

We added 2 new character and animations for Style 2. Plus, we also made a stage mockup for both style.

I like the look of Style 1 better, but there are so many game with that art style. I think with Style 2, it would set you apart from a lot of the others.
