The moderators are all on the Defense Squad's side! No! Already the forces of evil are gathering strength.

    /off topic

On topic: did someone really just ask if this would be freemium? You seriously cannot tell me you had any doubts about the pricing scheme, especially after how successful the original was.

    True, JBRUU,

Especially after Dead zone, dead trigger have gone freemium. Seems to be their current pricing model now.

I'm a little disappointed in you JBRUU, I thought you would join my club, " Why the F doesn't Madfinger make Dead Trigger 2 a Co-op game" but there's still space if you wish to join.

Anything with 512mb ram should be no problem so you're covered.
Less than that and I'd imagine you're out of luck and time to upgrade.

I would join, but I have my hands full dealing with this huge influx of new members into the Dead Trigger Denegration Society. Seriously, it's a ton of work appointing officers, organizing the troops, preparing defenses, etc.

Damn, I've been procrastinating the inevitable, If I upgrade, it will be to the project SHIELD depending on the game library, Dead Trigger 2, as longed as it is, is not enough to make me get the second hand device that is the iPod touch 5.

On Topic Post To Make Up For All My Off Topic Ones And Un-Irk Rip:

Did anyone notice that when Marek was being interviewed and he was asked something about gameplay and graphics he sort of smiled like he was thinking of the Denigration Society and the TA review?

If I were you I would wait and see how much post launch support the device gets. If the Vita is any indication, the Shield will flop badly.

Yeah, but unlike the vita, I don't think they're gonna support the Shield for too long if it doesn't get good sales and they have to lower the price, just like the N-gage.

I'd be happy if Apple just released a proper iPod Touch that has the same or nearly the same tech specs as the lastest Device, at least with an A6 chip.

Haha cause I already have a phone, and I wouldn't exchange it, it has too much emotional value, that thing can survive a superman punch, oh, it's nokia btw. lol.

All I need is a cutting edge entertainment device so I can experience these graphics at their fullest.

  12. Well, this I am glad to hear. I am working hard behind the scenes so that Dead Trigger 2 can get the 5 star review that it so rightfully deserves. Actually in all seriousness, I am really curious how the game will rate on Toucharcade. Also, curious to see how the itunes reviews are.

But man, I love that huge zombie monster from the screen shots. I hope they make the game more boss oriented than the first game, cause that would be totally awesome.

That, and they gotta keep the casino in, it's probably the funnest part of the original game to me. And if they take away my Alien Gun, I may have to resign out of protest. Looking forward to the game for sure. Hope it isn't too big. :D

I think that everyone who posts in this thread should have a little signature, something like: DT sux or DT rulz! So we wouldn't even have to bother reading the posts, just a look at the signature and we would know what it's about.

It's not like anyone can post anything constructive atm.

He'd rate 4.5 stars. Why not 5? Because he wouldn't like to look like a fanboy :p

I'd personally rate 2 stars. One point for stability and graphics and the other one because it's a FPS with zombies in it. It definitely loses points for being freemium and more for the bland gameplay and no story.

I would rate the first one a 2 out of 5. The graphics were the only redeeming quality in it.

  17. I've actually had ideas for the story and gameplay of this game. Just going to say this before I start saying the ideas:

ALL OF THE STUFF WRITTEN HERE IS NOT GUARENTEED TO BE INSIDE THE GAME. I DO NOT WORK AT MADFINGER GAMES AND I AM NOT AFFILIATED WITH ANYONE WHO WORKS THERE, AND THE FOLLOWING IS BASED ON IDEAS BY ME, Hoggy110. So anyway,

This game follows a brand new protagonist in a new city thats close to the original city. He joins a group of survivors, who try and get other survivors to join them, but before they can, the group gets ambushed by zombies, killing everyone but the protagonist. The protagonist retains the list of groups of survivors that his group made. It's at this point in the game that the player can choose which groups he can go to. There are 10 groups in the city he can choose to do missions for. The different groups have a love/hate relationship with each other, and players can get groups to join each other, though some groups need to be paid to join other groups. This can make more missions turn up. Once the player can make all the groups of survivors join together, part 1 of the game is complete

The second part of the game involves the group in Dead Trigger. During the time that has gone on, the group had found themselves in trouble. The protagonist and a few other people decide to journey to the city in the first game and offer sanctuary in their group to the first group. They arrive in the city as soon as zombies breach the building the survivors are in. The protagonist and company go into the building and help kill the zombies. In the attack, many of the survivors from the first group are killed. The surviving members of the group agree to join the other city's survivors

In both the journey to and from the first city, they go through a rural area. Less zombies appear in this area, though less suplies are here as well, so the player has to be cautious with ammo and med-kits. You can't access the store whilst your in the rural areas, unless there is a store near your location, and even those don't hold all of the items. It's also harder on the way back due to the injuries suffered rescuing them, as due to the amount of zombies trying to kill them, there wasn't any time to heal themselves, and any ammo or med-kits taken during the journey to the city doesn't come back, so unless the player leaves ammo or med-kits behind, they make the journey back much harder for themselves. After the survivors make it back, the game is considered complete, and all that is left are side missions, survival arenas and multiplayer

Co-op is supported. Multiplayer pretty much consists of:
-Working through story missions and side missions together
-How many zombies can you kill in _ minutes
    -How long can you survive
    -Working together in survival arenas
    -Fastest to kill _ zombies

The money system in this game brings back the money system from the first game, though with changes. Both currencies are gained quicker in this game, and you can exchange any of the currencies for the other. The casino also appears in this game

That was my ideas for this game. If you start complaining that the story sounds too similar to The Walking Dead, or Left 4 Dead, or any zombie related thing, then it's a coincidence. I haven't played/watched/read them yet. Please don't start any flame wars from this, please don't feed the trolls and please don't complain about spelling errors, I wrote this entire thing on the Touch Arcade app, so I can't see spelling mistakes. Criticize this if you want to, I'm perfectly fine with it

    Thanks for reading ;)

Kind of depends on which version we are talking about, and whether the whole freemium issue has any factor in the rating.

For simplicity sake, I will say the latest build, and not involve any aspect of freemium or inapps in my rating.

I would say 4/5, mostly due to the outstanding graphics, creative and cool guns like the alien gun, rock solid framerates which are rare in FPS games on ios, the addition of the new arena levels which are quite fun and visually impressive, a cool casino, and awesome looking enemies and backgrounds.

On the negative side, it is kind of repetitive, not very original, has created a huge contraversy on Toucharcade as to what the define of a tech demo is, and it has a following of troll like radical teenagers that just want to kill and flame.

I am not really a huge fan of FPS games, so I don't mind the simplicity at times. And maybe I don't expect too much, just something that I find amusing for the short hall. Heck for free or even a buck, I have gotten a lot of value and amusement from it. Sure it's no Nova 3 or anything like it, but it's a decent shoot em up zombie fest. However, I have never played more than 15 minutes at a time, so that probably means something.

    Rating:
    4 of out 5 stars
    Highly recommended!
Severe violence warning, not for 5 year old kids! Maybe even Ninjackids!!

Oh, alright. Like I said, just curious. :p

  20. Ok, well, since you like to put the holy President of the Dead Trigger Defense Squad on the spot, how would you rate the original Dead Trigger from 1 to 5 stars? I am curious. Anyone else too for that matter.
