My thought is that you use the points as 'money' and buy skins for the blocks. And maybe other cool features. And OpenFeint support!

I guess waiting for game center is fine, but game center isn't going to be out until summer. And I noticed earlier that people complained about graphics. I really do think that adding some sort of skin/theme would be nice.
DropZap 2.2 has space background images. But I guess you mean a skin/theme for the squares themselves such as creatures, spaceships, etc.?
Yeah pretty much, themes to change the squares and have backgrounds to match. To me this seems very simple, as all you are doing is changing the pictures, not doing a lot of coding. The only limit is your imagination, and by having lots of updates for these, you could gain a reputation like Pocket God or Doodle Jump that constantly gets updates and keeps buyers happy. Maybe even an IAP for a pack of a lot of really cool ones. Good luck, I really like the game, and I hope to see some updates! And I'll write you up on my twitter (see sig) if you want.
