Hi Everyone! Chesster is my new match 3 game, but it's not some mindless swapper! Built from the ground up, Chesster is a game that features levels that will actually challenge you, vibrant visuals, gorgeous music and mechanics that add innovation to the genre! It will be available on iOS March 17th! Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel *FEATURES* Chesster is still a match 3 at its core, but I've changed things up a bit to keep things new: *Piece Movement- Chesster is match 3 meets chess! Each piece moves like its counterpart in chess, so while a king can move one space in any direction, a queen can move the WHOLE board in any direction! *More Moves- Each turn allows for 3 moves before points are totaled, this lets the player have a lot of control in setting up combos, which are absolutely necessary as the game progresses. *Advanced Combos- Combining a queen in special layouts on the grid results in bonus points and adds even more strategy. *Treasure Hunt- For you completionists, there's the additional challenge of collecting treasure from around the castle grounds, but it might be one of the hardest parts of the game. *Gorgeously rendered level environments, take a look! *Chesster has music that will take you back in time and even features live recorded instruments. Over the top for a puzzle game maybe, but it only enhances the experience. Check out the soundtrack here! Yes! I searched the store for a game like this, and there really weren't any, except s few that haven't been updated in years. Can't wait to play this. Will there be a portrait orientation on iPhone?
Glad you are liking what you see! Yes, Chesster is a premium game, you pay for the game and you get everything. No energy, timers, currency or ads. And absolutely no in-app purchases! I'm excited that you're excited! It really does fill a gap left behind by all those jewel swappers out there. Currently it just plays in landscape, but a portrait orientation could be done for a future update. Would more people like to see this feature or others?
I second that ^^ And guys just because it's a premium and it looks great, I'll purchase it because we (gamers) should support premium if we don't want to end up with f2p only.
Chesster comes out next week! This is your friendly one week reminder, Chesster will be out one week from now! Update Priorities *portrait layout support- looks like this would be appreciated, so I'll make this a priority in the first update. *file size- its a bit larger than I would like even with HD visuals and the soundtrack (which is 40MB itself, but well worth it!), but I want to work on getting it down for sure. I appreciate that! F2P games can be good, but they need so much more content, which wasn't going to be possible for me as the sole artist. Don't worry though, completing all games, puzzles and challenges in Chesster is at LEAST 20 hours, not even trying to complete the treasure hunting campaign.

It's out and I've been playing for awhile. Waiting for TA to start a thread. Looking forward to the portrait orientation update. May I suggest a different icon? Not to be a pain. The download version doesn't look like the one in the store. Great game!
It's out in the U.S. Guys, just downloaded it. Be back with imps. This is.fun! If you like chess you will love this. There are several different modes. And the scores tally after you make all your moves, not a move at a time..the art is beautiful and it is very challenging. Nice job!

Bought it and really like it but it needs some more instruction, it's not really clear but as soon as I understood what to do I enjoyed the few games I played.
I'm stuck on the fifth puzzle on the second world and it's killing me. The campaign and challenges are straight forward, but some of the puzzles are too difficult. Maybe some way to earn hints? I seriously can't progress without beating this puzzle since the key isn't until the next one.
