I just got done playing the Dante's Inferno demo (holy shit) and now I am so in the need to play a good FAST-paced hack in slash on an iPod! Wats the best one to get? Hero of Sparta isn't fast enough :/

It looks good but in all the gameplay vids I saw there's only one hackin animation that just plays over and over every attack

The character animation in Tehra is a weak aspect of the game, no doubt. There's a lot to like, though, particularly the level of difficulty -- you actually have to be tactical, choosing which enemies (or objects) to hit first. Graphics are also quite good, and the spell/ability system adds some depth. There's also a fair amount of content. Did I mention that it's tough?

Hero of Sparta is still a good choice.

Sorry, should have read the whole post.

Vanquish: Oath of Brothers is a good hack n slash. I'm not sure if it's the best, but it is pretty great.

Well some of you guys aren't really catching my drift. If any of you own an xbox or ps3, download the demo to Dante's Inferno immediately. It's amazing :D but that's the type I'm looking for. It's Very similar to Ninja Gaiden also, so there's a more popular example. Faced paced hack n slash goodness....

Kroll. It's a bit short though. Only 3 chapters. Each chapters ends with an epic boss. Although the game is a bit dated, it does have some flaws.

    Twin Blades?

Blades of Fury is different but feels like Hack n Slash too.

Yeah, Kroll is damn good for an iphone game. It was the first game I played so it became the standard for me. Probably not a good thing since now I view most of the other games as inferior.

But at the topic, if you want to compare a new gen console to a portable device, don't expect too much. Dante's inferno looks a lot like God of War so hero of sparta would be similar.

Both the Assassin's Creeds are great hack/slashers.

The only reason Dante's Inferno is so fast paced is the fact that you have the hardware controller which offers more accuracy, and a much larger screen, which makes the speed look... speedier. You can't make it seem like a character is moving fast with only 480 pixels of width to work with.

Well obviously not THAT fast paced but I mean similar style

    The ones i played

    - Tehra Dark Warrior is really a good game, you can upgrade skills to get more attacks and the transformation is a point. It's very challenging.

    - Hero of Sparta looks very good, but is very very slow when playing, making it boring after a while.

    - If you search more RPG content, Underground is good.

    - Don't know DungeonHunter, I didn't like the screenshots.

Hybrid: Eternal Whispers, I know this isn't what you're looking for exactly, but there's not much hack and slash games at the app store yet
