I totally understand your sceptism around the controls for touchscreen games - you should be and I would probably feel the same. While the thought of "pushing" something forward is the same (and only ressemblance) in both Smash Cops and Heroki, the execution and feeling is a totally different story.

If you're interessted, I can add you to our future Beta list so you can experience the game earlier on and you can share your thougths on the multiple controls schemes aswell. :)

    Thanks!

I wouldn't mind being put on the list either if possible.

We have really improved the visuals and most important the gameplay.

Also, I can share that pro-joystick individuals in this thread will be satisfied. We have three control options implemented in our game: push, pull and joystick.

    Thanks for reading!

Just learned of this game today. Is beta testing over or are you still looking for testers? If so, I'd be interested

We are still looking for BETA testers but that will have to wait a little. We work in phases and we need a lot of testers when we hit the final phase.

I'll keep this thread posted when we do :)

This has been looking like a best of iOS platforming experience for a long time now, and it's great to hear that an actual release is finally looming. There seems little doubt this will be one of the finest mobile games ever.. please, let it be soon!

    Thanks so much man :)

That's exactly what we're aiming for. This game will be really deep in terms of story and gameplay. It's a big adventure where your village will be always there to help you (or just a place to relax, play some mini games or join quests).

We're aiming for a release later this year. It's going to be tough, but that's what we're going for.

Big thank you to everyone for the nice replies!

Just wanted to let you guys know that we're still very much alive and working everyday on Heroki :)

Giving updates really wasn't our strongpoint (yet), but we're planning to change that in the very near future. We are a small team of 4 developers and this project has been a spare time job from the beginning. I'm talking about real spare time (evening and weekend) hours for the last 4.5 years and I can honestly say that the game (and the propieraty engine) has turned out better than we ever could've hoped for. Heroki has become a mixture of all the games we very much love such as the Zelda, Donkey kong, Mario and Sonic franchizes.

Please have a look at the final build of Heroki:

    Thanks! :)
