That empire was ruled by mechanical beings in the form of men, and the humans were under their control. It is unclear from what period humans fell under the control of the machines. There is the legend that robots came down from the heavens, but so long has passed now that to be certain of how things began is nigh on impossible. 'Why must humans be subject to those with no blood in their veins?'- Finally, this ill-feeling led to the humans raising the flag of revolt against the machines. The clashes between humans and machines developed into a huge war that engulfed each and every land, with no victory in sight. Into this stalemate the machines introduced the strongest killing machine of all, designed to achieve ultimate victory: the Eve of Zero... Now, 2000 years later… ■ A simple and classic RPG Easy and fun to play, for anyone from beginners to seasoned gamers. ■ Beautiful, old-style graphics The dungeons contain many traps, and are satisfyingly challenging. You will need to explore every inch of the dungeons, to open the doors to paths that will enable you to proceed. The characters are rendered in a classic, 'eight-bit' style, and appear completely old-style when they move, one next to the other, but they are beautifully detailed and a delight to watch. Don't miss the butterflies that flutter through the towns, the reflections of the characters in pools and rivers, and the many other wonderful details! ■ Flexible character development and easy battles Battles are simple and straightforward to control. Direct control makes for a stress-free game. By using stronger skills, you can deal with a number of enemies in one fell swoop. Using gems, you can strengthen the skills you have acquired, changed their elements, and so on. Customize skills to suit your preferences, and develop your characters in just the ways you want to! ■ Complete with a variety of record books The skills and items you have gained, the monsters you have encountered, and so on, are all recorded in the record books. This convenient feature allows you to check a whole range of information, for example the items you gain when you defeat a certain monster. It could even be said that you have only really cleared the game when you have completed all the record books! * From iOS 8 you will need to change the device language settings to English to have the gameplay in English. * ================= Supported models: This game operates on second generation and later iPhone3GS/iPod touch (later than iOS3.0). The game will not run correctly on the first generation iPhone 3G and iPod touch. ================= ************************************ [Facebook page(en)] ""Like"" our page to get the latest information! http://www.facebook.com/#!/kemco.global ************************************ Information Seller:Kotobuki Solution Co., Ltd. I have Alphadia, Symphony of Eternity, Eve of Genesis and Fantasy Chronicle (still haven't played Fantasy Chronicle because of my huge backlog) and all of them are quite mediocre to me. I really like a good JRPG and played a lot of them on my iPhone, but all of the Kemco games I played couldn't keep me interested for more than a couple of hours. They all have some good, interesting features (like skill system / tablets in SoE) but it gets messed up in other areas (shallow combat, poor plot, wooden graphics etc). So for me none of Kemco games are worth the full price, but if you are REALLY hungry for a JRPG this sale is a good moment to grab the game. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #11 awp69, May 21, 2012 Last edited: May 21, 2012 I've only played a bit of this one so far, but have to say that I actually have enjoyed the Kemco games I have played, especially Fantasy Chronicle. The stories may not be entirely original, but they kept me engrossed more than most JRPGs on the App Store. And they seem to get better and better. The first Ash may have beaten this series in terms of writing and style, but I've found few other JRPGs on the App Store that are worth of my time ...or didn't hook me enough to want me to finish. The Square Enix "classics" are a clear exception. Anyway, to each their own, but just didn't want potential buyers to think that the posts above represent everyone's opinion. For $.99, I'd say it's worth a shot if you're a fan of turn-based JRPGs. *** Takes cover and makes a run for it...Syntheticvoid, where are you...I need some backup *** UmbraVir Well-Known Member Sep 4, 2011 491 0 0 Student CT #12 UmbraVir, May 21, 2012 I've been getting through Fantasy Chronicle, and am loving it. Bought this because Kemco hasn't failed me yet with their other games. Hopefully this one is as good. Also, as awp69 said, don't let other judgements deter you from buying Kemco's RPGs. The graphics are fine. I'm not expecting some AMAZING games from a JRPG on an iPhone. The combat isn't shallow- yes strategic thinking is involved in these games. The dialogues aren't that bad. Honestly, I think people are so critical because they're putting these games in contrast to TRADITIONAL games in comparison to more modern conventional games. Like Final Fantasy, yeah good RPG, but traditional games themselves are lacking in areas that modern RPG's, like Fantasy Chronicle boasts, like a sense of guide so that you could progress the game. I couldn't bother playing past a certain point for the FF series and it honestly felt like I was playing Castlevania 2 again with all the cryptic messages where I had no idea where to go. Kemco RPG's/modern RPG's? They don't do that. They have logs for quests so that you could actually play the game without using a game guide- stunning, I know. But really, I'm comparing Fantasy Chronicles with other traditional RPG's and I'm just hoping that this one is as good. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #13 awp69, May 21, 2012 Haven't played this enough to see how the story plays out but I am enjoying it. It is less polished than Fantasy Chronicle. Definately got a more retro thing going for it. That said the only thing that bothers me about this game is exactly the point you bought up. It's the only Kemco game so far that I've played that doesn't have a quest log. I found that a little strange that they left it out of this one. If you're in a town, talking to a couple of NPC's usually reminds you of what you were doing. Still a good game so far so not trying to diss it. I actually like the visual style in all of them for the same reason I mentioned earlier, they look and feel like a somewhat updated version (as in not as brutally hard) of something ive played on my old snes way back then. So long story short, for me this is a no brainer at a buck for anyone who likes rpgs! (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
