Wewt. I'm a huge fan of zombie games. Is this going to be a survival style? Like house of the dead?

    Looks pretty cool so far!

Looking excellent, try not to put to much work in the 3gs features, not EVERYONE has one

Very understood. That's where the accelerometer comes into play!!

But... SurrounDEAD really opens up a new experience on 3GS . Personally, I've wanted to do a game with this tech since I got wind of it a year ago. None of the DS publishers wanted to touch it as an add-on cart.

    Thx!

i like the idea of havingto turn around to see the zombies behind you. Makes you feel in the middle of action. If you use accelerometer does that mean you dont have to actually spin around to shoot the zombies behind you? How responsive does that make the tilt controls?

    Handheld, I'm on board:)

Hell, I still play TST quite often so SurrounDEAD is a guaranteed purchase as is Batting 1000. Has it been submitted as well?

    Hey Retean,

With the accelerometer game play, you tilt the device Left or Right to rotate the in-game camera. While an accelerometer cannot detect directional position, ie. turning around in real space to kill a zombie behind you, the response is very fast!

    Thx!

    1. It would be nice if while exploiting OS 3.0, HHG also exploited the IPT2G/3GS hardware. The graphic assets while effective, could be optimized with user selectable settings as with TouchSport Tennis, so that faster devices could experience more of their full potential.

    2. When attacked, there should be some loss of health that is translated into the gameplay, eg, one turns less well, the screen gets blurred, or ones aim with tapping is not as effective, until one regains health points.

This looks interesting. I love HoTD type games.

Note: Please make sure compass control can be turned off in the options when we're using the 3GS. It's a nice feature but there are times where we won't want to/won't be able to use it.

    Looks great!

Does the gameplay involve walking around at all, or is it just standing in open areas and blasting the crap out of zombies?

Seems like a mix of this and 'on rails' segments ala House of the Dead would be totally awesome!

I think it'll be hilarious watching someone play this on the train.

"Hey, look at that idiot spinning around in circles!"

"Don't point at the unfortunate, honey. He might not know any better."
