If by "overreacting to GotY" we mean overreacting to Aralon, then yes, somewhat. You nailed it. Well, part of it And yes, this is teh interwebz people. Where the knee-jerk reactionary has equal say-so to those capable of coherent discourse. Some people are afraid to hear criticism of their favorite game. Such are the forums, anywhere you go.
One of those threads was a spoof. Give you a hint - the one that you copied the poll from. It uhm, let's see, how do you say this tactfully, was a reaction to the overreactions and actually lightened the mood of all these threads a bit. Funnier than the OP (sorry IMNS not stealing your thunder) were the people who took it seriously. So that logically just means that a thread about a funny thread (with a copy cat poll no less) is the funniest!
Not really - people should laugh if they don't agree with all these SUBJECTIVE opinions rather than make polls and threads and try to discount articles. At first I was bewildered at why someone thought their opinion mattered more than someone else's and then suddenly it exploded into comedy. It's the only way to look at it at this point! And did anyone notice it is the "unofficial" game of the year? Perhaps the REAL game of the year has yet to be announced? (oh no - here we go again)

Overreacting?! How is that even possible when confronted such an outrageous decision? I actually murdered my family and burned down my house out of sheer rage, and I still don't think that was excessive in light of the atrocity that TA has committed in choosing this abomination as game of the year. They made the worst possible decision on what is certainly THE most important issue of our time. Game of the Year? How about Shame of the Century?! And yes, I am bleeding from my eyes and ears due to the magnitude of my anger. But that still isn't overreacting. It's totally justified. God himself is raging in the heavens over this travesty. Bad, Bad, BAD decision, TA. Have you no souls? You've ruined EVERYTHING!
^Agreed. Anyways, Aralon is extremely overrated! Its just another RPG. The story sucks anyways! People have been playing those types of games years ago! I noticed in that Aralon thread the guy was getting blackmailed. I googled the Aralon Beta (Out of curiosity, i own it sadly anyways ) and i saw that it was being "pirated" as well. There is a rumor that some guy named iVaro is the one who pirate the beta which is what i read. Im willing to bet 10000 coins that some Aralon fanboys gonna come flame me for my posts saying im the one pirating the game. How can i pirate a beta when im not in the group? I know because i didnt really get a chance to play the game because of bugs i had on my 2g, that were "Only on the pirated version". Whoever came to that conclusion clearly doesnt know wtf he is talking about.
Yup, i sure am. Im one of the users who havent been brainwashed by Aralon and can see the crap it is. Even the features and "graphics" of that game cant hide the crappy story and quest of that game. The funny thing is, people play RPG games because of the story...
