AEAW9LK3REHM Thanks for the code, I like the game so far. You might like this game if you like that one game with the flying whale game. I believe it was called whale Trail. The good thing about that game, and I believe this one as well is it's not too stressful. Even the music has a relaxing vibe. You just fly along collecting stuff but you must tap the screen so he does not fall out of it and don't tap Too long or often or he may fly above it . I've only played for a minute or two though so far so let me play for a bit more and I will get back to y'all later.
Impressions: I'm trying my best not to be rude here... 1) to the person who said you'd like this if you like whale trail: NO! Whale trail is an awesome game. This is...well. Surely it isn't finished It is seriously just an airplane and gas cans and a few stars. You touch the screen to fly up, a lack of touch equals falling down. The plane constantly flys off the screen so you can no longer see what you're controlling. The graphics are horrible. iPhone only. Do not buy. 1/10 stars Thanks to the devs for the promo code
Well Lazer Kat, I really liked your comments, and to be frank, I too dont like the game that much, anyways. Hope I will improve some day, or leave this interest itself. One thing most funny in your comment was 'just an airplane and gas cans'. I would say trash cans would have been better suited there.
I'm not able to complete that objective "30 Gallons without collecting any stars" even after having a tank of more than 30.
Assuming you're the dev: First of all DON'T "leave the interest itself". Just use this as a learning experience. This game could be good, but to me its just a starting point. It needs a LOT of work. The first MAJOR issue is the fact that the airplane completely flies off the screen, and then we are expected to control something we can't even see. That is neither fair nor fun. So there we are, controlling a ghost plane that has flown off of the screen, and then what happens? All of a sudden it magically snaps back to the beginning! This isnt just a one time thing. This continues to happen over-and-over again! This is the kind of issue that has to be fixed. Secondly, it needs much, Much, MUCH more. You should have different obstacles to dodge. From what I can tell, there's absolutely nothing that can harm your plane other than the top and bottom of the screen. There should be obstacles like birds, other airplanes, helicopters, teradactyles, flying squirrels, parachuters, etc.; that you have to dodge during the flight. The gas can mechanic can work, but it needs to be balanced. You should have to have a good run, and collect enough gas to make it to the next set of gas can. As it is, there's so many gas cans you might as well not even have gas that you can run out of (I'm assuming you can run out -- I haven't yet). Anyway, the flight mechanics feel right. Just consider this a starting point and NOTa full game. Don't give up, man.
Another option for this game would be to market it towards kids. Put some clouds at the bottom and top that you bounce off of so you can't die. Put lots of coins, lolly pops, birds, candy, etc. throughout the sky for the plane to collect. Then use the coins and candy to buy outfits for your character, paint jobs for the plane, and different characters/airplanes. Make this^ and I'll pay for it. My daughters would love the game, but they crash too much as it is and get frustrated very quickly. Also... I think you'd be more successful at the $0.99 price point.
As I said that was only my initial impressions after only playing it for a minute or two. I still feel that it has that same stress-free Vibe going for it. However after playing it some more I can say it needs a lot of work there should be upgrades and more variety to the objects as well as additional levels. If this is a first game from a beginning developer I would say it's a cool start just keep working at it and try adding some things and take into consideration some of the recommendations here on this forum.
