If I buy the HD version of Angry Birds, does my progress from the regular version carry over? Or is it a completely different app and would I have to start over from the beginning? Does this apply to other HD apps as well? Sorry if this was already asked. Thanks.
Sadly, it's a completely different app and you would start from the beginning and it does apply to other HD apps.
^ What he said. The exception would be if the developer specifically implemented online saves which could be transferred between devices. Otherwise, for a game that only uses local save data, there's no way for the iPad app to know about your progress in the iPhone/iPod version.
Well, that's rather inconvenient. But it's no big deal, as it's basically the same game but prettier. Thanks for the responses, you have saved me five dollars!
