P4RC is an engagement platform that drives social connectivity, app discovery, and duration of app use. It is not an ad platform and does not compete with existing monetization platforms. Instead, it acts as a complementary tool that augments the monetization potential of these other platforms by driving an increase in downloads and duration of app use.

The system works by allowing players to earn points across all games in P4RC's network that can be exchanged for real prizes and gift cards in an in-app marketplace. So it is a bit like putting a skee-ball ticket system into mobile games. Users love it. In the past 60 days, P4RC gave out over $11,000 in gift cards from top retailers to P4RC members.

P4RC has led to a significant increase in duration of app use for users (50% to over 200% uplift). Following an initial successful test in Stop Those Fish, P4RC is now signing up a number of high quality developers to join the network. By participating, developers receive tremendous value from user engagement, free app discovery, free advertising, and an increase in duration of app use. In addition to Stop Those Fish, other games such as Zombie Samurai, Alone at War 2, and LookAgain will be added to the network soon.

Hey, how does this differ from Kiip.me (for realworld rewards) and OpenFeint (achievements)?

    The difference

P4RC serves a different function in a game from either OpenFeint or Kiip. It does not compete with either of these other platforms, and it is actually complementary to them. If you check out Stop Those Fish, it will quickly make sense. P4RC is optimized to drive incremental downloads and to increase the duration of gaming sessions, which it has done very well (with 50% to 200% uplift in duration of gameplay for P4RC users). The key is the P4RC point system that allows players of any game in the P4RC network to compete for real-prizes, which generally include gift cards valued from $25 - $100 that are added to the network every day. P4RC gives away thousands of dollars in gift cards per month, which builds player loyalty and drives a lot of incremental gameplay. It also leads to social app discovery and incremental downloads.

It is not an ad network like Kiip and it does not seek to replace Kiip or any other monetization in your game. The implementation does not include any banners or pop-ups. It is just text that is incorporated into your UI to report the player's P4RC points earned with a link to open the in-app marketplace to redeem the points if/when the user is ready to do so.
