There are a handful of Qix-style clones out there and I was wondering which of them (or which one) you guys found the best? - Jorlen
So far Dr. awesome is my favorite, especially for the price... http://appshopper.com/games/dr-awesome-microsurgeon-md
The blurb for Dr Awesome makes a deal about your contacts - if you have a Touch does not using contacts detract from it? How much is it different iphone / ipod touch?
I don't use contacts (iPod Touch) and it makes up randomly generated names. Granted, not the best names as you'll find repeated surnames and first names now and then, but it does recover gracefully if you have an empty contact list. You could of course make up fake contacts solely for the game. It really is that good, where that may be considered by some. Fantastic game.
Zone Warrior is really fun, good graphics and you can win iTunes gift cards. It also has daily, weekly and alltime online high score tracker. Never played Dr. Awesome though.
I think it's on sale, I have played it prob every day for a month, it just got a hefty update as well.
I'm literally shocked, I completely misinterpreted that game. Just to be sure, you're talking about this game (Zone Warrior): Not his game (ZoneOut, that I mentioned in my first post):
Sorry Don is correct I was referring to Zoneout, oh well we all make mistakes, I just make 'em more than you
Have you played Zoneout Don? Pretty addictive and there is a lite version for anyone interested, no link, on my iPhone.
I'm just glad I'm not going crazy. Anyone have anymore information on DeBlob? It looks interesting and I never see it talked about. Yea, I've had ZoneOut since December, it's a very good game. ^ ^
I believe Rich is confusing Zone Warrior (a space dog fighting, asteroid collecting, protect the space station in 3D space!) with Zone Out (an OK rendition of kix) which I deleted. I like Bix alot. It's the closest thing to Kix. It's simple and has no sound but is decent. I've been meaning to get Dr. Awesome, but i'm playing too many games as it is...
DeBlob: It's not a Qix style game per se, it is I guess in a class of it's own. It's the first game I bought on iTunes, by THQ and I played maybe 10 times. I didn't like it.
