Out this week - 8th January 2014! Happy New Year Guys! We wanted to let you know about our strategic arcade shooter that is out this week! It's a premium title with 50 explosive levels, epic boss battles and over 6 hours of gameplay (and that's if you can play it straight through first time!). Here's some more info on the game - we really hope you like what you see! Become the eye in the sky and protect an allied convoy making its way through enemy territory. Take part in the fast paced action and defend against any hostiles the convoy encounters as it travels. Use the touch screen to fire a wide variety of missiles, explosives, bombs and more to intercept and destroy everything threatening you in a maelstrom of tactical mayhem. Are you trigger happy or one of the fortunate ones with 20:20 precision? Either way, in the heat of battle there will be dozens of enemies and targets to take care of at once lets just hope you can handle the SKY PATROL challenge! With strategic weapon deployment and path creation, you have direct control over offensive and defensive weapons. So its your job to make sure that everything hits the target no excuses! We wont lie to you; its not going to be easy! Dont panic though, youll have a multitude of weapon types to play with each more powerful and explosive than the last. See you on the other side hopefully! The players task is to oversee and protect an allied convoy on a journey through enemy territory. As the convoy advances, enemy forces will attack and it will be up to the player to defend and protect their charges as they complete their mission. The commanders chair provides a birds eye view of the battlefield combining with touch screen controls to allow the player to direct his attacks easily and quickly. Using a selection of offensive and defensive weapons the player must plan his attacks and act quickly if they are to be successful. With clean and clear visuals Sky Patrol will allow the play to be fluid and comfortable for casual players but will also allow it to be challenging and heart pounding for the more hardcore out there. Thanks, glad you like the look of it. For pricing, we've gone for Tier 2 - so £1.49/$1.99. We took the decision early on to avoid any IAPs for this title. With the intention to make it great value. We do have some level pack updates in the pipe line and these will not be additional!
Am i right in assuming this is like anomaly titles where you have a party moving forward and your job is to get them through safely? Coz this looks so good. EDIT: just watched the video. This is like an arcade version of Anomaly, almost like a forward scrolling castle defense. Really liking the looks of this. And a premium with no IAP to boot.
Yep, you've got the idea of it. It's a top-down forward scrolling shooter. I guess you could say that we've gone back to our routes and taken some influence from a number of classic arcade titles. In the store description, we are warning players that it isn't an easy game. We really wanted to create a game that genuinely challenges players in a true arcade style - and keeps them coming back for more (without IAPs!!!).
