I like easy games like forbidden island and ticket to ride, etc but this game is way too simple. I wish I am mistaken because I have only played once.. Riotgirl Well-Known Member Apr 5, 2012 240 0 0 UK #8 Riotgirl, Jul 28, 2013 No, you are not mistaken. Talisman is very much an early / mid 80s board game: heavy on theme, but predominantly driven by luck (die roll). There is little interaction (depends on players, but generally little), and no meaningful decisions to be made. Very much a beer and pretzels kind of game, or for people who like CYOA, or rogue-type games. I loved Talisman and the expansions back in the day. I haven't played since the 80s, and wouldn't play solitaire. I'd might, possibly might play multiplayer for a very light experience and because of the theme. However, there are so many better board-games out there where one has to make meaningful decisions, that I'll probably skip the multiplayer version. I think there is fun to be had with Talisman provided that you are aware of its limitations before you hit the 'buy' button. I had no problems paying $4.99 for it.... andsoitgoes Well-Known Member Jun 30, 2010 2,673 58 48 In a van, down by the river! #10 andsoitgoes, Jul 28, 2013 Yeah, you don't post nearly enough. This was an excellent description of the game, truly! I love it. It's cheesy, yes, but it's simple, mindless fun and there can be some strategy involved. The Mp is where it's at, seeing someone get turned into a toad and making a mad dash to pick up all their crap is the real fun of the game. It's one that you love to hate and is best with friends. september Well-Known Member Sep 14, 2012 2,673 0 0 #11 september, Jul 29, 2013 I was doubtful of the solitaire, but the quest system works really well and isn't totally random. paradsecar Well-Known Member Jun 27, 2012 104 0 0 #12 paradsecar, Aug 2, 2013 Back down to $0.99 again biokid Well-Known Member Jul 11, 2013 931 0 0 Wop Wops #13 biokid, Sep 14, 2013 Back down to $1.99.
