Coming in 2013 on the Japanese website. www.jp.square-enix.com The Final Fantasy Revolution begins. More great titles from final fantasy coming soon. It won't be long before we start playing Final Fantasy VI and Final Fantasy VII http://dlgames.square-enix.com/ff/ff4/en/index.html
What did you do, turn your time machine back to yesterday? Duplicate thread. Thank yo anyway, I do appreciate your upcoming game posts.
Apologies :3 im on the jp website seeing the upcoming games by sqeenix, don't be surprised when a kingdom hearts games comes to iphone
A Kingdom Hearts port definitely deserves it's own thread. Very cool of you to post this japanese source information.
Hey don't be mad, were all friends :3 and kingdom hearts should come to iphone. The iPhone is capable of handling the graphics and performance.
I just saw the surprise they had for us at the end of the final fantasy IV trailer. Can't wait for final fantasy V!!! Look right at the end of the trailer http://youtu.be/nIink549ltA
or they might remake it in 3d for ios and android only. anyways i really want a FFVII port/remake for ios so bad. Cloud is my favorite FF character.
I would so much prefer a 2d remake over a 3d remake. 2D stays true to the original source, while still looking amazing. 3D FF3/FF4 just has this...unappealing quality to me. Didn't stop me from getting them, because damn it, they hit me right in the childhood.
Omg, I so agree with you. I mean 3D is fine when done right, but I still prefer 2D much more 'cause I grew up playing 2D games.
It will most likely be 3D, why would they release FF4 in 3D and just go back to 2D for FF5? Each FF is suppose to get better and better.
Hypothetically I wonder if they release Final Fantasy V as a direct port of the 16bit era edition then it seems a lot of people would buy it just to have FFV. Would 3D graphics really draw in that many new people to justify the cost?
Because FF3 and FF4 released on iOS were ports from the DS. FF1 and FF2 released on iOS were ports from the PSP. So far it's 2 to 2. It's likely that for those releases, they went with porting over the "most recent" release of said game. But FF5 in this case, the newest release was GBA/PS1. ...In the middle of typing this post, I remembered an announcement about FF5 on PSN, just wiki'd it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fantasy_V#Re-releases http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASuKHhBESzA It appears that the game was recently re-released in it's PS1 era graphics. That's a bit disappointing, and likely the one we'll be getting. Hopefully they'll at least remaster the graphics. This also has me super excited; http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/03/chrono-cross-final-fantasy-5-and-6-all-coming-to-psn-in-coming/ Seems like we'll be getting a lower-quality copy of FF5 then the PSP FF1/FF2's we received. I can't quite justify a full purchase price for that...
Hm, my fault for not checking the date a little better, but the point is still pretty solid. I'm not to convinced we'll ever see Chrono Cross ever show up on iOS, but FF5/FF6 have a modern release. So those are likely the ones we'll see. FF4 DS was released July 22, 2008...and we just got it on iOS. So a year's difference isn't really that unreasonable, especially since Square has apparently dedicated themselves to mobile gaming.
