Each challenging level can be completed within a minute of gaming, making the pace of the game pretty fast, but many levels require multiply tries to complete. New levels will be added in updates! On top of the OpenFeint achievement challenges, every level also rewards you with a Time star and a Diamond star to collect! ** CONTENTS: 90 hard levels, playable in three modes: Hero mode, Sarge mode and Oreah mode -- Sarge and Oreah mode need unlocking! More levels are coming in updates soon, check our blog to keep informed! ** GAME STYLE Meganoid comes in full 8bit retro pixelart style, complete with chiptune and sound effects, we personally love this style, and it fits the genre! This could be the coolest 2d platform side scroller you can find ;) Keep updated on this game by checking: http://www.orangepixel.net/meganoid/ ** BUGS if you run into problems or the game wont work on your device, instead of just rating 1 star, you could help us fix it by providing feedback! ** WHAT OTHERS SAID: "It's hard, it's fast and it's very addictive!" - Thotep "The retro feel is spot on with it's devious levels and secret areas" - MadElk "Relive the NES-period! :-)" - Gert-Jan "Just what I needed... ...another hugely frustrating 8-bit-style game to destroy my sanity" - hopscotchjunkie "Exactly how a platform game should be." - Elliot "Start playing this pearl." - Salih Information Seller:Pascal Bestebroer Genre:Action, Arcade Release:Jun 09, 2011 Updated:Sep 14, 2012 Version: Size:0.0 TouchArcade Rating: User Rating: (7) Your Rating:unrated Compatibility:HD Universal JCman7 Well-Known Member Jul 6, 2009 2,548 3 36 Mechanical Engineering NY #2 JCman7, Jul 18, 2011 Nice! syntheticvoid Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2010 14,504 124 63 Musician & factory worker. a[V-O-I-D] http://apparentsymmetry.bandcamp.com #3 syntheticvoid, Jul 18, 2011 can't believe they made this free... I should've known it would go free since the Android version was free, but I certainly am happy to support this talented developer. yemi Well-Known Member Feb 3, 2011 454 0 0 #14 yemi, Jul 18, 2011 Why in hell is this excellent game free. Developers need to stop this free nonsense or people will stop buying the games. Joshnsuch Well-Known Member Sep 29, 2009 840 0 0 Louisville #15 Joshnsuch, Jul 18, 2011 Great pick. Games that get marked down to free jump up the sales charts, which leads to more downloads, and then when it goes paid again it stays on the charts and hopefully leads to Angry Birds-style billions. Hence why I almost always mark my 'wanted' games with App Shopper and download when they either go to 99 cents or free. I've got most of the 4,500 apps in my iTunes archive on such sales (collecting them since almost three years) and I am still buying enough apps and games when they are interesting. Thanks to devs for Meganoid! Cool game. Although I am usually really bad on platform jumpers this one seems to be made for me. Featured in my iPhatch blog. Has it suddenly become cool to ignore us for freebies? :S More and more I notice games going free in the US that are still paid for us. Am I just missing some quirk of the App Store? ImNoSuperMan Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2009 10,506 19 0 #20 ImNoSuperMan, Jul 19, 2011 I doubt anyone else other than EA is doing region specific sales. Now I cant say for sure if this particular game went on sale in NZ or not but here's a possibility.. Some devs use dated sales (just like wednesday releases) instead of manually switching the price. So it goes on sale in new zealand first and then japan, australia, europe and finally USA. Now unless someone noticed the sale in other countries, it doesnt get posted on toucharcade until its free in USA. But by the time it goes on sale in USA, its almost time for the sale to be over in new zealand (8 hours to be exact). So unless the sale was for more than one day, the game would be back to normal price before you noticed the sale on toucharcade or appshopper. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
