I loved Trial 2 (or whatever it was called) to death, but I didn't like Bike Baron at all. Should I pick this up? CygnetSeven Well-Known Member Feb 6, 2010 7,580 27 48 #3 CygnetSeven, Jul 10, 2013 Anyone able to compare this to Bike Baron or Jaggy Race? awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #4 awp69, Jul 10, 2013 It's much closer to Bike Baron than Jaggy Race. I actually think I prefer to BB, but both are good. There's quite a bit of content in this for a buck. I'd recommend it. And to the prior post, I would not compare this to Trials. Nowhere near as hard and more focused on stunts, timing jumps, collecting coins and not insane courses. If you want a Trials clone, I still think Rock Rider(s) --- good God I still think that was a stupid name -- is the best on iOS. Get this now andsoitgoes Well-Known Member Jun 30, 2010 2,673 58 48 In a van, down by the river! #6 andsoitgoes, Jul 10, 2013 You are a lunatic if you don't buy this game at this price. It's much more arcade-y than Trials and a bit flashier than Bike Baron. It's an amazing game and it has so much polish that it would eat through a tank. cygnet, I was a huge fan of BB and Trials on the 360. This game was also on consoles, and it carries a lot of that over. The controls are great, and it's really, really fun to play. I loved the challenge you could get from BB, and this is equally as challenging, but in some ways just more fun. For a dollar, though, you simply cannot go wrong here. ninjackid Well-Known Member May 27, 2010 9,380 2 38 #7 ninjackid, Jul 10, 2013 So is it worth my monies? sink_or_swim Well-Known Member Feb 4, 2012 3,504 5 38 Germany #8 sink_or_swim, Jul 10, 2013 I'm not sure about this one because I never enjoyed Bike Baron and this looks similar andsoitgoes Well-Known Member Jun 30, 2010 2,673 58 48 In a van, down by the river! #9 andsoitgoes, Jul 10, 2013 No It isn't, exactly. Watch the gameplay videos to get a better feel for it, but I think it's worth the money if you like the genre. But when you say you don't like BB, you aren't saying why. It's like saying "I don't like street fighter, will I like Samurai Showdown?" CygnetSeven Well-Known Member Feb 6, 2010 7,580 27 48 #10 CygnetSeven, Jul 10, 2013 Too many trusted names popping up. Ugh, I need to play this. And eclipse And small world 2 And Agricola And The Nightjar And so on, and so on and so it goes. Flergh. TOO MANY GAMES. Oh ninja, I just met you. This is crazy. I love BB, but this game is a ton different and I had a lot more control of the character in BB, where as here, it's more time based. I don't regret grabbing this at full price, it just wasn't my "thing". Bronxsta Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2012 4,698 6 38 http://indiegameenthusiast.blogspot.com/ #19 Bronxsta, Jul 11, 2013 How does the labratory work? Is it a level editor? And I love Bike Baron (that and Jet Car Stunts were my first IOS games) but IDK the trailer here seems...not boring, that would be the wrong wrong. Repetitive? The art style looks great, but this seems less like a bike game and more of an auto-runner, in a sense I am interested though. Impressions? andsoitgoes Well-Known Member Jun 30, 2010 2,673 58 48 In a van, down by the river! #20 andsoitgoes, Jul 11, 2013 Dude, two things. We have given impressions here. There are loads more on the official thread. I think the game is awesome. I bought it at full price and don't regret it. I didn't play it through initially because it did not start with iCloud syncing and I played a fair amount on a device and wanted to continue on another. What I'm trying to say is that I put it down because of my quirky needs. This game is awesome. Simple. Critics love it. Users love it. Marilyn Monroe would have loved it. Charles Manson hates it, as does Phil Spector. Good enough? (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
