It ain't half bad... The lite version contains one level, the one with the spider boss at the end. The challenge level is fairly good, I played on normal, and there's 4 difficulty modes. The end game against the Spider boss, was designed pretty good. There's four different weapon systems, the "Vajras", each have their own color. Green is defensive, with an orb circling you taking out stray enemies and even some bullets, Blue is more a aggressive straight on laser attack, and there's two colors more. One thing I don't like initially, is that when you pick several Vajras in the same color, they don't increase in power, they don't get stronger like most other Shmups, instead there's loads of pickups of the different colors strewn throughout the level, seemingly meant for you to use each one, maybe depending on situation? I don't know why this is, I would like to know if this is the way it is in the full version, before purchasing the game. In a game like this, upgrading the weapons to meet more difficult enemies and bosses is must. At least to me. Perhaps the Dev have a different vision with the game I haven't yet seen, so I would like to hear from them to convince me to buy it. Looking forward to seeing the rest of it Bought the full version, shall have a proper go later, impressed defred34 Well-Known Member Aug 27, 2012 1,408 0 0 Earth #8 defred34, Dec 19, 2012 With all the coloured balls, I was expecting polarity change to be part of the gameplay. Couldn't be bothered to try otherwise. syntheticvoid Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2010 14,504 124 63 Musician & factory worker. a[V-O-I-D] http://apparentsymmetry.bandcamp.com #9 syntheticvoid, Dec 19, 2012 Right on... Haven't played much, but being able to adjust the screen size and place the boost button anywhere is a huge plus. The touch controls are nice as far as I've seen... And having the 4 different difficulties is great too. I will say that I'm not too keen on the look of the bullets.... Maybe having an option to even just change the color of the projectiles would make a big difference with them... But right now... Always enjoy having another nice shmup to play. =o) Biggavelli Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2011 1,106 0 0 Boston,MA #10 Biggavelli, Dec 19, 2012 Played the lite version. Its done quite well, good controls, runs smooth, colorful graphics.ALL you shump fans should check it out. I'm not much into the shmup scene, but since this a touch-original game, I thought give it a try. Not bad. Interesting concept. How worth it is it getting the full version? Bytebrain Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2010 1,459 0 36 Copenhagen, Denmark #14 Bytebrain, Dec 22, 2012 But this game doesn't have any color mechanic which Ikaruga made use of . If Ikaruga didn't have the color mechanic, it would have been a very boring game indeed... This is great cause I don't really have a lot of fantasy shmups, and this one plays in landscape mode, so I can play on my tv. Since I can play in zoom mode on my tv, there are no borders. Cool too, that there are alot of difficulty settings. Wow, ultra hard, is really hard. Usually I play on the hardest settings possible, but in this game, hard is about right for me. Really fun game! Highly recommended.
