Sorry for the misunderstanding. Lazer Kat Well-Known Member Sep 29, 2013 2,597 0 0 #5 Lazer Kat, Dec 2, 2014 Deleted. I'm talking about the game. It crashes as soon as I hit the play button. I closed all background apps and restarted my iPad (iPad 2; iOS 7.0X) to eliminate memory issues, still crashing. Reinstalled. Still crashes. Currently in 2nd on the WW leaderboard. It was slow starting until I figured out the "controls". I put that in quotes because you don't directly control your ship. You hold to launch and use thrusters. When you lift your finger, your ship weaves in an "S" pattern. When you're at the desired angle, hold the screen and you will thrust in that direction until you release, at witch point you will begin the "S" pattern again. The point is to avoid the asteroids that come down from above and get as far up as you can. I think what sets this apart from all the "endless" games is the unique control method. Every run gives you "spare parts" that can be used to upgrade your ship, making it easier to get farther. I started out by upgrading the "remove countdown". Makes for quicker games. The sheild upgrades are especially helpful. For a free game, the ads are really not bad at all. There are pop-ups now and then (no biggie), and absolutely no mandatory video ads. There are 30 second opt-in ads now and then that award you with (a generous) 25 spare parts for upgrading. I'm really curious to see what lies at the 500 mark. There's a message at the bottom of the screen that says "we're waiting for you at 500m". Game Center achievements would be a cool addition, as well as an ad remover IAP (keep the opt-in ads). It would be cool if you could see your Game Center friends distances in-game as you flew by their scores as well. I'm surprised that only one of my GC friends is playing this. I hope you do well with your game, Snow Covered, and some more people give this some time to sink in. Really Fun! See you on the leaderboards. The app info says it requires iOS 8. I'm surprised you were even able to download it running 7... @Snow Covered Games I left a 5 star review on the US App Store to try and boost downloads. Every little bit counts, right? SnowCoveredGames Active Member Jun 30, 2014 36 0 0 #9 SnowCoveredGames, Jun 12, 2015 Thanks! I had released it a few months ago with a lot of features left out, it wasn't exactly finished but I wanted to get it out anyway. At the time it was buggy and "worked" on iOS 7. That's when that comment was from. Hopefully Lazer Kat can give it a try again and the little rocket can redeem itself. This go around I added a bunch of features, polish, and ironed out the bugs. Leaving out iOS 7 to focus on performance and gameplay rather than backwards compatibility.
