    Hello TA collective brain,

Do you have any 2 player, turn based, games suggestions? I'm curious to hear all suggestions but I'm particularly interested in games with an element of strategy. Games that can be played on iOS. But also, are there any cross platform games out there? Where I could be playing at work on my phone against a friend and pick it up later on my home computer? A long time ago I used to play email chess. That almost fits this 'category'.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions,

    Kx

p.s. Oh yes. I already know about and play Carcassonne. I'd recommend this to anyone else looking for such games.

Digital board game adaptations are by far your best shot in this category. Things like The Battle for Hill 218, Samurai, Catchup, For The Win, Small World, Diaballik etc.

Then you have some boardgame-like videogames such as Outwitters, Aerena or Hearthstone (all of them are "free-to-play" by the way, but at least the former two in a pretty non-offensive way).

My all time favourite game that's turn based is Letterpress.

Zynga also makes a ton of these games like gems with friends, chess with friends, draw something.

Thanks sterlingware. I'd forgotten about drawing games, I was a BIG fan of Depict. I use Shredder Chess a lot but it doesn't offer 2player games. I'll give Zynga's chess a look.
