    Hi all,

    I am working on a game called "Code Asylum" and it's about 60% done. Coming soon on Iphone and Android.

    The Game:

    3rd Person action RPG game with a unique original story, set in a medieval era.

    Story:

    The Kingdom of Avanga has for generations lived in peace with its neighbors, largely untouched by wars of conquest waged by the surrounding petty kingdoms and empires. Stout soldiers and a network of sturdy fortresses are the primary means to discourage invaders, however the lasting freedom of Avanga rests on its spiritual strength and the fierce determination of its people to live in accordance with their sacred beliefs.

    The most important dictum of the Avangan people is their belief in asylum and the harboring in safety of anyone who petitions for relief. The ages-old “Code of Asylum” applies even to enemies who beg for protection: their pleas for shelter must be recognized and honored.

    The second most important dictum of the Avangan people is the “Code of Revenge” that demands any mortal injury be repaid to the aggressor in pain, misery, and death a thousand times over. Adherence to this code has warned away larger kingdoms from risking an apocalyptic conflict.

    And what happens when the Code of Asylum conflicts with the Code of Revenge? How can the need to protect an enemy be reconciled with the need to destroy him? That will be your question to decide…

    3 Classes

    Warrior Class
    A melee class that specialize in leading combat and taking the brunt of the damage in groups. ��Warrior wears heavy armors and can use sword, axe and mace.

    Archer

    Archer-type classes tend to be wise, hardy, cunning, and ranged damage dealers.

    Ranger is skilled in wilderness survival and sometimes “nature magic” or have a resistance to magic. Their preferred martial arts weapons leans towards practical-utility: archery and can use rifle aswell.

    Jadogar Class

    Jadogar is considered to be spellcaster who wield powerful spells, but are often physically weak as a trade-off. A Jadogar’s power is based on the arcane, fire and storm and can excel at mastering the elements and can crate a devastation at their will. Jadogar wear light armors and carry magic weapons and accessories.

    Your game looks awesome at this early stage.
    Yes, baddies get caught on walls etc ,but I am sure you can fix that.
    The fighting and spells look really fun.

    I will have to follow this one for sure.

    This does look quite promising indeed, keeping an eye on it.

    There are quite a bit which still need to be fixed, such as:

    AI getting caught in Walls.
    Horse Sound to sync with animation
    Archer animation

    @NullZone Yes I do have a plan to do beta testing in a month or so, but also depending on how quickly some of the major bugs gets fixed.

    @ShelvsHotPencil Yes the game is offline, single player, with option available to sync save files onto Cloud.

    I was also impressed that you could talk to knights and have them fight at your side.
    Have you thought about trying to implement firing a bow from horseback ?
    How about attacking with a sword on horseback as well?

    Gee, how can you tell I love Mount and Blade?

    @Nullzone thanks.

    It is in the to do list, but in the future update with other stuff such dragon pet and then training him to grow and fight and then eventually use him as a mount aswell. At the moment i am just focusing on the core features.

    This game looks great. Character design is beautiful, as is what I can see of the world. I'm really excited about this. How much will it be at launch?

    Hi prime89,

    The game will be free to download with just having the first map unlocked. Rest of the contents will be locked and player can unlock them through IAP.

    Character Creation

    A short video showing character creation.

    Player can customise three classes at once and can switch between them during the gameplay. All of the classes are independent of each other, like each one have their own health, energy, inventory, skills and stats.

    The character creation animation will be updated later.

    Almost there, it's very time consuming when it comes to optimising a game for mobile.

    Game looks insane! One thing though, make sure you fill it with people and enemies and have a lot going on with quests and try to make it feel alive that is most important part. Nothing is worse than an open world game being empty and feeling void like. Just my opinion.

    Nice to see that the game is still in development.

    I do have a couple of questions.

    Is the water just for show, or can you swim and dive to find perhaps hidden caves etc?

    How is targeting done with the bow and spells? I did not see a targeting reticle.

    Thanks for your comments.
    I know what you mean but i have to balance between performance and game contents and AI. Creating a game for mobile is a big challenge when it comes to optimization. I will add more enemies as long it doesn't have major impact on the performance of gameplay.



    The water is just there for now. I am planning to add swim and dive to it later on.

    Player do auto aims at target , for now i disabled the cursor.

    Just an update, beta will most likely be available on android this sunday. Once android testing is successful, we will move it to IOS.
