I'm looking for suggestions of fun, addictive games that give the brain a good workout. I'm not just looking for "Brain Age"-types of games (although those are welcome, too, if they're good) but anything that's both fun and keeps the brain sharp, whether it's words, numbers, or even physics. Thanks!
Puzzle Maniak is a must have. Alien Glyphs is my favorite recognition/reaction game. I've been having a lot of fun with 7 Little Words recently. All of these work completely different parts of your noggin.
Kenken gets my highest recommendation. Also, I have been looking at Crosswords for this reason myself but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Oh yeah, and Str8ts. Can't forget Straights.

For only $10 you get hundreds of puzzles. Definitely worth it. Hope you find what you need in those
Thank for recommending Hexius SkyMuffin! Just thought I'd let you know that Hexius is free today due to a promotion with OpenFeint.
Hemispheres - a game split in 2 screens where you have to solve a math equation on one side and mix colors on the other side. Frozen Equilibrium - all tiles are raised or lowered and you need to make them all even. Choosing one tile affects all other tiles around it and you are only allotted a certain amount of moves. Reiner Knizia makes very good strategic board games if you're into that. The Heist is also a very good game with 4 different styles of puzzle the get progressively harder at a fast pace.
Heh, I felt the same way. There are lots of great suggestions for puzzle games in this thread, but Kenken really makes me get my thinking cap on in a way that almost no other puzzlers do (and it's really fun). I'm sure you would enjoy Straights too. And yeah, Reiner Knizia's stuff is basically all excellent. Some of it requires deeper thinking, like Samurai, Kingdoms and Ra, whereas some is more casual fun, like Keltis, Clustermaster and Yoku-Gami. It's all worth looking into though. I love Pathpix, but it really doesn't require deep though. Still, one of my all-time favorites (all three of them).
I already have Gameloft's first Brain Challenge game, and I'm wondering if Namco's Brain Exercise is any better or if there are any other comparable games as well. (Or if these are even any good!)
