The Starbucks app still surprises me from time to time. This week they're giving away Quell Memento for free. The game has never been less than $1.99 and is usually priced at $2.99. I have the original but never got around to getting either sequel (this is the third installment). TAers loved it in the main thread (here).
Yes. They send weekly messages with a free item, usually a song but occasionally a great game/app. Rayman Jungle Run and Angry Birds Star Wars were Starbucks freebies IIRC.
So I downloaded the app. Not seeing anything about free apps, do you need to sign up or have reward points or something?
Go to Home -> Messages. I think you should still be able to get the message with the link. Here's the app: http://www.starbucks.com/coffeehouse/mobile-apps/mystarbucks
Downloaded, went to messages, nothing Would anyone be kind of enough to generate a promo code and PM me? (At least that's how I assume it works.)
I haven't verified this but try this link for a code: http://www.starbucks.com/mobilenotification/getitunesredirect?assetID=269 Also, the app has Pick of the Week and Notifications off by default IIRC.
From what I've observed I believe, but I'm not 100% certain, that you had to have already had the app installed when they posted the deal. So you would get the next one and all the other ones that follow.
That's the same way it worked for me. I downloaded when there was some cool deal and no message, but the next deal I got a message. So download the app and keep it... but follow the link that was posted till then.
This game is so good. I'm on 10 or 11 stages in, but I'm already enjoying it more than the first Quell. The aesthetic and mechanics are great, especially the multiple raindrops.
Damn, just paid for it about a week ago. Hate it when that happens... But still, it's a great game and worth it even if you pay for it.
This has been a fun series and looks wonderful on the ipad. The others are worth checking out as well.
