My episode finally goes live this week in Canada (CBC). Not allowed to talk about the outcome, but being on the show will finally put Str8ts on the world stage as the true mass market rival to Sudoku. (2.5 million viewers) We are anticipating a tidal wave of activity after the show. We printed 20 000 books and we are worried that it won't be enough. since i don't know the show (sitting in germany) this is a real deal you negotiated there? $150k for 10% shares on what you make on str8ts? and this happens on tv? weird.. and interesting i liked how they jumped at each other seems like a nice show.. well congrats on the money.. why where you not smiling at the end? 10% share to high?
I really don't think the share was too high. I dunno how different the Canadian version of the show is from the UK one, but here it's 50% offers 9 times out of 10. I've never seen an offer this good. Congratulations! I know how hard you've worked for this and I cant wait to see it become a success.
Great job on the presentation and answering their questions. Very impressive to watch them falling over themselves to do a deal. Can you tell us anything about your progress since then? Did you get the money yet? How many newspapers are carrying it now? BTW, why did everyone on the show, including you, pronounce it "suh-DOO-koe"? It's "soo-DOE-koo".
