Will all these retina updates for the ipad3 take up even more room unnecessarily on our ipad 1s and 2s? Dead space real racing etc are they goin to double in size?
Yup, ipad 3 retina graphics will take up 4 times the amount of storage space. But that doesn't mean the size of the game will double necessarily. The code and other resources like audio should stay about the same. I think where you're really going to see the size increase is in 2D games. 3D games may not be impacted as badly.
I wonder why they never increased the internal memory then. A 128gb surely wouldn't have cost too much more.
