      According to Square Enix FB page the HD verision will be released April 21st. No details on pricing.

      Post on FB:

      I'm guessing they are gonna charge either 15 or 20 dollars.

      Why buy it again?

      I bought it already for my ipod touch. Then I decided to jailbreak my ipad and got retinapad. So I am already playing it on the iPad with retina graphics.....it makes a big difference from just 2x. I also istalled PSX and am playing FF7.

      Just do that as I dont think there will be much difference with the HD version. They will probably make the buttons smaller than when blown up on the iPad. I like the bigger buttons on the 2x resolution as I dont have to move my fingers around so much.

      The iPhone version is already $15.99, so it's going to be more than that as Square isn't going to release an iPad version for less than the iPhone version. Probably $19.99 or more for the HD version but I won't be buying it as I already bought the iPhone version and I'm waiting for FFT.

      Final Fantasy III

      Square Enix suppose to release an Ipad version of FF III this thursday
      according to the main page here.
      Are there any screens around already.. cause it's about time, that they are
      releasing Ipad versions of their games.
      Hope Children of Mana and Chrono Trigger/Cross will be the same way too.

      All I can say is, it's going to be pretty expensive in relation to other iOS games. And I don't want to hear about the whole "but it costs so and so dollars on another device".

      Oh the bright side, can't wait to see how this looks compared to the pixelated mess the ds version was.

      I played the DS version, and a little bit of the Itouch version on a friends, and it's ugly on 2x on a Ipad.

      I'm sure it's going to be like $15.99 or $19.99 knowing them..
      but it's worth it I think.. it was a loooooonnng game for sure.

      Indeed I did. Not a huge price difference in this case, but FullForce can save you some money with Gameloft for sure.

      This is another one where I don't see why it isn't universal though :confused:
