It's times like these that I wish I had a gift card to pay the $10 I owe. :(

What does the update do? Does it make the game actually worth playing? Or is it still a garbage game shoehorned onto the iPhone?

Fixes up the virtual D-pad, eh? That was my one and only issue with the game. I loved it before but I just couldn't take it seriously with frequent unintentional moves resulting in damage or death (sort of how I feel about Mecho Wars.)

On my iPod the D-Pad has been moved up and it's more right - I don't like it. Maybe it's just my screwed up iPod though.

The update fixes typos, allows you to listen to your music library during gameplay, and the quick slots are a bit bigger. Oh yeah and the Dpads been repositioned and both the Dpad and action buttons are a bit transparent. Oh and the hunger and durability were rebalanced.

I seriously prefer the d-pad to stay where it is before... :\

me too. I guess it works for people with bigger hands.

I had no problems with the d-pad before. This almost makes no difference except for the look of it. They didn't move the action button which makes the whole thing seem lopsided as a result.

I think the D-pad was in a better place before as well. I even find it to be strangely responsive, seems you need to be on the outer edge for your character to move, which means you really have to move your thumb a half a centimeter to change directions...

I wish I hadn't wait for the update to play...
