Every round is guaranteed to be different as you fight your way through hordes of enemies, all to the steady beat of a crisp chiptune soundtrack. Full version of Virexian is unlocked through a one-time in app purchase of ~.99 USD (local pricing may vary). Features include: - Over 50 weapons along with numerous upgrades and variations to frame and movement modules, diversifying play styles across runs by changing the way you deal damage, move around and resist enemy attacks. - Dynamic level generation that guarantees that no two levels are the same. Areas can be narrow and favor close range combat or large and leaving you without cover, or anything in between. Adjust your approach to your surroundings to get as far as possible. - Controls are specifically designed to be simple and direct on a touch screen. Easy to learn, difficult to master. - Large variation on enemies and numerous bosses. The difficulty increases as the game progresses, making the enemies more aggressive and powerful. - Five original music tracks composed by chiptune artist Starving GOGO on genuine old school gaming hardware. - Minimalistic art style that mixes new with old, and renders everything easily readable due to vibrant colors and distinct shapes, even when the entire screen is covered with bullets. There is something "charming" about the style. The mechanics feel flat, but its pretty cool other than that. pathogen541 Well-Known Member Jun 19, 2016 503 355 63 #6 pathogen541, Mar 9, 2017 Love it. Paid the 1.99 (completely on accident I may add) but I'm pleasantly surprised! I'll be coming back to this one for a while J.R. Jalapeno Well-Known Member Oct 6, 2008 663 0 16 #7 J.R. Feels unintuitive. pathogen541 Well-Known Member Jun 19, 2016 503 355 63 #8 pathogen541, Mar 9, 2017 The meat of the game is in true rogue mode, different frames, legs, weapons, bosses, it's MUCH more fleshed out in true rogue mode. It gets INSANE pathogen541 Well-Known Member Jun 19, 2016 503 355 63 #9 pathogen541, Mar 9, 2017 I did have one thing to add, it'd be cool if there were some sort of unlockable basic mech frames, ones that have basic frames of the carapace/steel frames and basic tread/biped/spider legs and basic weapons.... maybe tailored to different play styles? Just thought I'd give my input LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,286 1 38 #10 LordShad0wz, Mar 9, 2017 I made the purchase. I'll have more to post later but I'm enjoying the game. I really love the retro vibe and it's a fun twin stick shooter. It gets pretty intense too. I really like the different weapon styles. I do wish there were some upgrades we could work for such as mech bodies. I'll post more later. So far for me it's worth it's price. I died only because I was getting bored. It's just to simple at the moment. But enter the gungeon has spoiled me. currymutton Well-Known Member Oct 16, 2008 4,430 1 0 #12 currymutton, Mar 10, 2017 Still not in HK... pathogen541 Well-Known Member Jun 19, 2016 503 355 63 #13 pathogen541, Mar 10, 2017 New shader is awesome. Really makes everything pop and the pin laser is awesome. Any word on future content updates? I really hope the dev doesn't abandon this one... also, I really wish it'd get some damn coverage on TA, whys everyone sleeping on this one? I mean yes, there is definitely a lacking sense of progression however if that was addressed this would be a permenant replacement for inferno/radian shooters. This game has been keeping me entertained for some time now pathogen541 Well-Known Member Jun 19, 2016 503 355 63 #14 pathogen541, Mar 12, 2017 To anyone who is playing this game or seeing this forum, I've spoken to the dev, it seems like he's new to the TA forums (Swedish) but outlined his plans: Integrating a set of unlocks or some sort as a means of progression etc, new achievements, more bosses, enemies, online leaderboard and greater variation in room types. He's super receptive to input and seems like a pretty awesome dude that wants to make an awesome game. raravan Well-Known Member May 18, 2014 829 38 28 #15 raravan, Mar 12, 2017 Last edited: Mar 12, 2017 can't find this game on my local appstore, why? pathogen541 Well-Known Member Jun 19, 2016 503 355 63 #16 pathogen541, Mar 12, 2017 What is your AppStore?
