gold currency is extremely expensive
    10 gold for $2.59 up to 1000 gold for a whopping $124.99

Are there you have it folks. All you people talking about the "whiners" complaining about the IAP before the game even came out - there's the proof: EA has officially ruined Real Racing. Are you happy now?
    Enjoy the game, freetards.

game is certainly a beauty on my ipad3
it plays like a dream but.......

why are the IAP's soooo damn expensive!
let's say you buy the racing spec collector pack prize is $24.99
you get (only) 3 cars. a nissan, a bmw and a lamborghini
you get (only) 5 series instant unlocked
you get (only) a measely 10 gold
    -----------------------------------------------------------
so that's maybe 5% of the game unlocked for $24.99
    wayyyy to expensive imo!!
    ------------------------------------------------------------
what a shame because it was really fun to play the first 2 races only to find out that i have to wait for 8 minutes now before i can race again!!!

me not so happy, i hope they tweak the prizes because in its current form they will not gonna get the $$ from me.
    end rant :D

People will still buy them though so it's never going to change. Think we are all just going to have to get used to it. It's starting to happen in £40 console games so I think it is here to stay.

The bad it not just the iaps... I could be ok if i could buy 50-60 gold coins for 0.99... But with just 10 gold for 2.59 when you re need 2 gold to speed up the brakes update on the first car make the game a little bit unbalanced (for freemium).

I don't like freeium too but I am playing anyway. Just don't feed EA with your real $$$ and teach EA what Gameloft did.

    yeah that's pretty crap!
i only did 4 races and needed to change oil already....15 minutes waiting time!
damn this game COULD have been the best in the app store BY FAR if it was premium.

If you want to be wise you don't buy anything. Everybody should do this to boycott the game. That will teach them next time they want to put IAP crap in their games.
I wonder how firemint (monkeys) must feel now after selling out to a big #### company like EA?

It's not very clear what these "series" are.
So for 8,99 you get just one car? What point is there to have two "series" unlocked in advance? Are those unlocked car series giving you access to purchase them?

When racing it's smooth, but some of the cutscenes (intros, at the end of the race, etc.) stutter a bit.

Anyway, here's my review for the game:

HEY KIDS, DO YOU LIKE TIMERS? IF YES, THEN YOU'RE GONNA LOVE THIS GAME!

Not looking to jump on the bandwagon here, but really this idea is crap.

Don't people who drive in real life pay enough tax for petrol already?

Who would be this $€^¥#~ up to want to pay even more money into a car like that?

I don't drive so I don't know, maybe people like paying tax for real life cars then throwing even more real money into fake money just to drive a fake car.

It might be fine if it wasn't freemium, freemium CAN work but can it work here?
I'd be sick if it does.
