So this game was free for a day only and that was a few days ago when I got it, if I download it now would I be charged for it?

No you won't be charged again.

When you download it, it may bring up the notification that you will be charged, then you press "Buy", but it should follow that notification up with one that says "You have already downloaded this item. Download it again for free?" or something to that extent.

One question from me : I thought I downloaded Rolando for free once . But I do not really remember that I downloaded it. Can I check somewhere which Apps I bought lifetime ? Do not say E-Mail Account or ITunes. I do not use ITunes on PC and I delete every E-Mail after reading it.

    Any suggestions ?

um...you HAVE to use iTunes if you have an idevice. your purchase history is in your account. in the itunes store, click on your account at the top right. this will take you to your account information. click purchase history.

I know I sound like your mother and/or father - but:
It's not very wise to delete the receipts e-mailed from AppStore.
They prove that you have downloaded and payed for the app.

I have my account address on Gmail and keep the receipts under their own label.
Then it's very easy to search the label/map for the app-name.

They might be thinking of Rolando 2, which has a "freemium" version.

Just redownload and buy the in-app purchases you made (if any) and it will let you download for free

To check If you have ever downloaded a game without risking having to pay for it just try to write a review of it on the app store...
If you have never owned it a message will come up saying something along the lines of 'you must have purchased this product to review it'
If you once had the app then it will let you go ahead and write the review... You can then just cancel it and download the app knowing that you won't be charged.
