Didn't see an existing thread for this. No release date announced, but anything that falls into the "space combat and trading genre and will appeal to fans of illustrious classics such as Elite" gets my attention. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-10-26-former-fable-dev-sets-out-to-make-true-elite-tie-fighter-successor http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-03-28-former-fable-developer-unveils-rogue-star http://www.roguestar.co.uk/
Nice lead. RedBreast Studio, good name! Elite Inspired, *Homer Simpson: Mmmm* the images so far are v cool.
"Rogue Star is set in a remote star system where the Galactic Confederation's worst criminals are sentenced to live out their days away from the civilised world. The player navigates through the system, bidding against others for cargo. If you succeed you have to fend off space pirates who want to steal it from you. Players pilot their ship using on-screen virtual controls, and Duncan said RedBreast had done much work to make sure these are as responsive as possible. He's yet to decide how much Rogue Star will cost, but did promise it won't include in-app purchases." http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-01-29-first-rogue-star-gameplay-shows-off-space-combat-and-trading-and-trading-indie-game Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
