Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel [hqyoutube]O2TTiReOtBU[/hqyoutube] http://kinelco.com/site/?p=745#more-745 added a NEW teaser trailer and NEW gameplay Images. [hqyoutube]jEXKugu-21g[/hqyoutube] Underground for the iPhone is coming soon, it will be a side scrolling shoot ‘em’ up with a twist that should set it "aside from other shooters out there, graphically it pushes the expectations people may have for an iPhone game whilst using the iPhones unique input to create a full and deep shooter experience and incorporating an intriguing story."
I can tell you everything you need to know is in the video. Its just a bit of fun while we develop the game.
it's a SHOOT EM UP GAME!!! SHMMUP on the scratched window grafitti! VERY SMART TRAILER! Click image to enlarge
If one proceeds with that assumption, one would also have to assume that the "?" implies some ambiguity to the placement of this game in the genre you suggest...
Shame Youtube doesnt have HD yet, I'm not keen on its quality, the link goes to a better quality quicktime, also although this is a prerender the ingame graphics are no different
Sweet, I have no idea as to what exactly the game is about but I'm excited! Shoot 'em Up sounds sweet and are the dots with the locations next to "Coming Soon" any indication of what's to be included in the game?
If this is a shmup style game on the NYC subway system...I'm all for it. Would actually relieve some stress while I ride that very same subway system to and fro. Oh, and if it is, you have GOT to have some audio samples of the horrid public address system on the subway cars. Mixed with odd electronica. "ATTENTION PASSENGERS FFPPFTT PFFFPT PFFFTT PFFFT AT 96th STPFPT FPFPTT WE PFPTFPT DELAYS FPFTT" And that's on a good day, folks.
I wonder if it's not been rolled out to the UK, i'll have another look at my account. EDIT: It seems there is a way, I will look in to it, I must have missed it first time round, thanks
Idea #1 Skateboard Tagging Genre Have mission based assignments for a skateboard riding dude to tag/erase the walls of various subway stations while avoiding the cops and fighting against other gang members. Here , the player would have to navigate the subway by getting on/off different trains at connecting stations (for simplicity the trains going in either direction would run on the same track, but come at different times). Tagging/erasing could be accomplished with gestures. Player movement might be via an effective virtual D-pad. Fighting with the gangs members also might be via gestures, or contextual translucent keys that appear when needed. Missions might increase in difficulty with # of cops to avoid, gang members to fight, and train connections to make. A career mode might be established based on the success of the missions and time taken. idea #2 to follow...
Sorry I should have been clearer, Its more features you would like to see in a game, price point, number of levels, hours of play, difficulty settings etc... Then again, I can see how this could be difficult seeing as we've not yet made it clear what type of game it is ... or have we...
maybe you are in control of a maniac aboard a subway train and you have to slaughter has many civilian as possible?
