I bought it a few days ago after I made a post asking for suggestions, I decided to snap it up quickly because it was only 59p/99c, but looking back at my purchase history iTunes says it didn't cost me anything I'm positive I didn't get it through a promo code, the only ones I know of were the ones given out today and I bought it around 4-5 days ago. Weird as hell.
iTunes only shows the price in purchase history when you download it for the first time. He probably saw the second download in case he downloaded it twice or he`s seeing the update which he downloaded yesterday. Or may be he did get lucky. Very silm chance of that happening, but not impossible either.

It's the first and only time I've downloaded it, and I also see the update download. Both say free. Has anyone else ever had something like that happen?

This actually happened to me once with Flight Control. The only difference is instead of where it showed "Free" it still said .99 cents, however my total for the bill was $0.00 So it never really charged me at all. But that's it... and I thought that was weird.
