I'll see what I can do... it's not like I invented zombies or anything, but what they're doing is pretty disrespectful. They even used "zombieville" (no space) as a keyword for the app, which is rather cheeky... I just don't get why Apple's review process doesn't throw up a red flag when they get 50 copies of the same app in the span of a month.
Also ban the guy who is making 'Fish Live! Ver. 7.4018' and all those. Actually if you look in the TA list at this very moment, here's what you can find: ... Engines of War! Ver. 7.4018 Gunshock Racing: 7.4022 Undead LIVE: 7.4023 Engines of War! Ver. 7.4023 ... Mark of Mafia: 7.4023 ... They're all listed as 'NEW', even though I know that I've seen these and other similar crapps every day on the list for a while now. Engines of War even has 2 'updates' within 4 game releases in the ENTIRE STORE!
apparantly this dev also reviews his own apps and pretends to be a schoolgoer under the name App Grand Master(32 ville reviews).
I was actually going to post something about this guy. It is just unbelievable that Apple would allow the same game around 32 times with 3-4 graphic swaps. He has maybe 5 total games each with atleast 10 graphical changes. This is ridiculous.
Guys seriously why are you hating on this indies? They are small guys trying hard to give us good games.
Are you insane? Look at his page, he has around 5 original games... He is taking the same "ville" game and putting 4 new graphics in it and calling it a new game. There are at least 2 new "ville" games a week. Don't forget they cost $2, the effort and quality is just not worth it.
i think you should boycott people you are not happy with. this would be both big players and indie developers. this is the Internet; and with the shadow of a computer and anonymity via forums people can say and express whatever they like. you cannot please everyone; please the people you depend on.
it would be better to have a single "ville" application - charge more and make the variants user selectable options. apple should flag this and prevent it from happening - we've already seen some developers being kicked out of the app store process for trying to cheat the system. from what i see here, this is a border line case.. and, it isn't the only one. i guess if you can get at least one sale for every junk app; and you have 100+ junk apps; thats a good chunk of money still - which is what these developers are riding on.
nobody hates indie devs they hate you, have fun buying every single ville game to show that guy you care so much, cos theres no way in hell the only thing villedev cares about is money... s/hes really touching the hearts amd minds of people everywhere... gameloft ea and ubisoft? theyre totally souless
No one is hating on indies. Do you expect us to praise this kind of shovelware just because an indy made it?
