This is very fun. Very different than other Toca Boca games (I found it more complicated - your kids may not). Highly recommended, even just to play with for a bit if you are not a kid.

Toca Builders: Bringing my daughter one step closer to playing Minecraft. :D

Seriously though, she's got most of the Toca apps and loves them.

I did play this. Overall, IMO, it's pretty bad. Being forced to switch robots to place/remove blocks in certain ways is silly. I guess maybe very very very young kids would like this, but I think they'd more enjoy creative mode in Minecraft PE.. or heck even just the lite version.

Toca games are really good for young ones. My 6 year old really enjoys all of them including this one. She was really getting into building a house. My 9 year old son was looking behind her in interest as well. Toca games have a quality feel to them. Always well polished and clean.

There's definitely polish to all the Toca games including this one. The gameplay though is so watered down and restricted from other block building games though that I couldn't recommend this above even the lite version of Minecraft PE. My 9 year old son plays the full Minecraft on PC & Mac and he designs his own skins. And he's been doing that since he was 7. I think this could be maybe interesting for a very young child that doesn't have any exposure to better games or technology, but even the younger kids that my friends have like the PE version of Minecraft for building stuff.

Yea, my three sons (oldest is 12) love Minecraft and have been playing on the xbox since it came out to the console. They definetely would prefer it over this. My daughter however, is not intrested in Minecraft. This, on the otherhand, has that Toca cutesy gentle feel to it that attracts her. I agree, good for younger kids, which really is their target audience I believe. Toca is very generous in that their apps commonly go on sale and for free relatively soon after they are released.
