I have only found a few. I'm fairly new to ios world and seem to love the side runners but can't find many. They r usually 3d behind the back, I am looking for the side view ones

    Here is what I've played
    Jet pack joyride
    Zombie z
    Banana kong

    Please help

    Theres loads of them !

The Rayman ones are probably the best

But i think half the fun when you're new to something is discovering for yourself the games. When i got my first ipod i bought a few iOS magazines which showed me the best games, also surfed a lot, eg 'best ios games 2014' and i had lists and lists to go through.

Theres 1000's of great games out there to discover, its a great platform

This is a great list (i cant say for Wind-Up Knight 2 though, as i didnt get it coz of the freemium model), and i would add the following as well:

    Adventure Beaks
    Badland
    Kid Tripp
    Ronin
    God of Blades
    Vector HD
    Time Surfer
    Rock Runners
    Worm Run
    Zombie Tsunami
Dont Run With A Plasma Sword

My personal top 3 would probably be:

    1. Polara
    2. Adventure Beaks
    3. Rayman Fiesta Run

Darkness Rush is a very good endless runner. The sooooo heavy grinding killed it for me though.

    Robot Unicorn Attack 2
    Granny Smith
    Zombie Tsunami

"Escape The Page" has potential. Cool art style and fun to play.

Most definitely Bit.Trip.Run. It's too much fun, and those early NES-style bonus levels add great variety. Whereas for some reason, even the best runners, like Rayman, can sometimes feel like a bit of a slog, when you were in the zone, Bit Trip, to paraphrase a review, felt like ballet in motion. They do have a really weird definition of "Coming Soon", though.

I second Ski Safari. Got hours of fun out of that one.

Some others off the top of my head -

    Dead Ahead
    John Mad Run
    Small Fry
    Epic Skater
    Square Dash
    Jupiter Jump
    Minimo
    Hill Climb Racer
    Zombie Gunship Arcade

I agree! Rayman is an incredibly polished game! One of the best runners out there for sure!

That's an excellent post from EP on the big runner thread.

I'd like to say my favorites in the side view genre are the two Rayman games, bit trip run, and Cannabalt.

This year there was the excellent Adventure Land - rogue runner, Jack-Be-Nimble, and wind-Up Knight 2 (1 is also great).
