Too bad almost all games are like this now. Pocketnova Well-Known Member Oct 15, 2012 2,346 0 0 #3 Pocketnova, Mar 20, 2013 Really cool game, defiantly pick it up! Went free pretty fast, but I think the game is cool. Haven't gotten that far myself, but solid gameplay for me so far. nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #7 nightc1, Mar 20, 2013 I noticed the game thread get some attention early on... but wasn't convinced I'd want this. For free though, guess I can give it a try and judge it close up. Connector Well-Known Member May 6, 2012 15,512 1 0 In the Chatroom http://thechatroom.freeforums.net/ #8 Connector, Mar 20, 2013 It seemed like this game took a lot of heat from going from $2.99 to 99 cents after three days after launch. It had pretty good comments until the early adopters got screwed, then the feedback seemed much more negative. And now that it is free in less than a month, probably won't help, but I think it is a cool game, not the best, but pretty good, let us know what you think since the early adopter blues hasn't affected you since you got it for free. nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #9 nightc1, Mar 20, 2013 I just wasn't that interested in the actual game... I don't think I even read the thread, just noticed it get some posts. Makes sense early adopters would revolt from getting burned... but it happens so often it almost is better to just wait out a new release and see what bugs it has and what the early adopters think than to jump in the fire and get burned. It's not like there's a shortage on games. Connector Well-Known Member May 6, 2012 15,512 1 0 In the Chatroom http://thechatroom.freeforums.net/ #10 Connector, Mar 20, 2013 Yeah, I agree with you, used to be waiting for over a month was good cause many games went free or on sale close to the month mark. Nowadays in the last month, seems like the trend is for developers to release games at $2.99 and go to 99 cents after three days. So it's probably wise to wait til the 4th day, I suppose. But I kinda buy things at random nowadays, just buy it if I really want it or to support the developer. But lately, been busy playing with my icade core, so just buying icade core joystick games, cause they are so much fun, and don't get early adopter blues, so they make you happy. I bought grudgers for a buck on the 4th day, don't mind it going free, but I do see your point, that it is a good policty to wait til after a month for new releases cause it does seem like the trend nowdays for sure. Especially for Chilling games. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #11 awp69, Mar 20, 2013 I haven't played the entire game but I'd easily give it 3.5. It's nothing earth shattering, but a pretty fun auto running platformer. I got it early in myself and am not happy about it going free so quick, but it happens so often now, I just shrug it off. Look at freaking PWN. A great game that dropped to $.99 and then to free within just a few days. I don't know what to do anymore. In the end, you still got a good game, but it's gotta make more people think twice before buying day one. If I'm slightly hesitant on a game, I'm not waiting for a sale. I just already have enough I play. But knowing this happens all the time, I will take advantage of freebies that I was in the fence about. Now also playing on Android, it's amazing to see the differences in how the stores operate. In general, there's a lot more free, ad-supported games. But WAY fewer sales on premium apps. Connector Well-Known Member May 6, 2012 15,512 1 0 In the Chatroom http://thechatroom.freeforums.net/ #12 Connector, Mar 20, 2013 How do you find out about sales for games on Android? Is there an appshopper like tool, or a board like TA that lists everyday what is free? awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #13 awp69, Mar 20, 2013 There are a few apps, but most of them aren't very good. The best seems to be AppSales, and I first didn't think it was picking up all the price drops. But it does pick up the vast majority if them. And that's when you realize there may be a day or two where there are NO price drops. Compare that with AppZapp on the iOS where you usually see at least a few every hour! Seems like with their being fewer sites like this and fewer price tracking appa that devs on Android apparently don't think temporary sales do much for promotion. It's hard enough to even find out about all the new releases (exempt the really big ones). TRB4 Well-Known Member Jan 30, 2013 990 0 16 #14 TRB4, Mar 20, 2013 This game is like a way more fun version of Clockwork Knight. The controls in this game are AMAZING! I'm serious, the controls are so responsive and smooth. I never feel like a death was caused because the game wasn't doing what I wanted. I have gotten all 3 bars on the first 23 levels so far, and the Spoiler Easter Egg Rifle . I am loving this game, but I am sad that I am probably going to complete it 100% in less than 2 hours of casual play. I hope there are more levels coming in the future. My only gripe is that i use my right thumb to play, and every once in a while I accidentally pause the game while jumping. I wish the pause button was in the top CENTER of the screen instead of the top right. Highly recommended for free, and if it had twice as many levels, then I would highly recommend it at full price as well. I think the area for pause must be bigger than the icon. I'd like an option to switch the side it's on. Anyway, I like this more than Windup Knight, although its not as flashy. I think some of the complaints about the game pertained to some issues prior to the last update. It's actually a very good game. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #18 awp69, Jun 27, 2013 Free again.
